"I am trying to go somewhere that already has somebody pretty good at quarterback," Jones said. "Someone that is a freshman or a sophomore who will be there with me."

what do you guys make of this? I hope he's referring to Star Jackson!

Hope he doesn't mean NC State! Glennon was riding him the way JPW locked onto Dj Hall the last two years.

I doubt that it is Va Tech since he hasn't even mentioned them.
He and Star have kept in touch alot from my understanding.

I will also say that I think that it is sad that someone, yet again, takes a thread and uses it to bash JPW.

Re: Julios comment after UnderArmor all star game

I'm a bit concerned that he's referring to Tebow, as Rivals currently has Florida at the top of his list. For lots of reasons, though, I hope he's referring to Star. Watching that kid throw the ball today proved to me that more than any other dual-threat QB out there, Star will be looking to throw to his receivers first and foremost. And he's got the arm strength and accuracy to hit them anywhere on the field.

I don't think Julio has said anything about who's at the top of his list so I would think Rivals may be just guessing. Also...Tebow will be a junior next year so he wouldn't fit what Julio was talking about...I hope!

Sarcasm.

Apparently, you haven't read any of the QB threads on the football board because compared to a lot of that I'd almost consider what I said a compliment. At least he had the good sense to lock onto his best receiver if he couldn't go without locking onto someone.

Agreed - he was most likely talking about OU. That comment by JJ makes me really nervous about his coming to UA as JPW is not a freshman or sophomore.

Isn't Bradley the QB at OU a (true) FR this year? He set national TD records for a FR QB I believe. He would definitely fit the scenario described if so. Sounds like more fuel to go along with his downplayed trip to Norman, for the "JJ to OU" theories. Don't forget OU picked up a big WR commitment today as well so he would have someone to make it harder to DT him. hmmm....

Isn't this Glennon brother going to NC State?

Sam Bradford is pretty good. He'll be a true sophomore next season.

He may have been talking about Star Jackson. You know, the really good QB from Lake Worth High School that has tremendous upside and unlimited potential who has been talking to JJ a lot lately? Yeah, he's also committed to Alabama!

Here's hoping he stays in state with our up-and-coming gunslinger.

You're right. I guess I forgot what I heard and just assumed he'd follow his brother. The way his brother has been shuffled in and out of the line up this year I guess I can understand him going elsewhere. NC State is getting a good one though.
