I was wondering where we stood with the following players?
Rueben Randle Good chance at Randle
Dre Kilpatrick Most likely will sign with Alabama
Morgan Moses Will most likely stay in the state of Virginia
Craig Loston Follows his cousin to LSU
William Campbell Reaffirms to Michigan
Branden Smith Good shot, but will be tough to beat UGA
(All of them have Alabama on Rivals at Medium or higher, and no schools listed above Alabama on that scale...)
Don't forget Bobby Massie. He should sign with Alabama.

Coach Bryant, after announcing his retirement, was asked if he was dissappointed that an Alabama player had never won the Heisman Trophy while he was the coach. He said, "No!", and added, "At Alabama our players do not win Heisman Trophies, our teams win national championships."
I was wondering where we stood with the following players?
Rueben Randle a shot, albeit slim IMHO
Dre Kilpatrick veritable lock
Morgan Moses an outside shot, but he's still in play
Craig Loston no shot, an LSU lock
William Campbell virtually no shot, will most likely wind up back with UM
Branden Smith most likely winds up at UGA, but we're firmly in the mix
(All of them have Alabama on Rivals at Medium or higher, and no schools listed above Alabama on that scale...)
And as Capstone said, we're definitely in the mix with Massie, whom I believe along with Kirkpatrick will be our most likely candidates to sign out of these 5 star prospects.

Rueben Randle - A lot of folks including some analysts believe Bama leads. I think he has still not decided and it is a long way from being over. I think he will end up signing with either Bama, LSU, Miami, or OU.
Dre Kirkpatrick - It looks like he has narrowed it down to either Bama, Florida, and Texas. I believe he will sign with Bama.
Morgan Moses - It looks he has narrowed it down to either Bama or Ohio State. It is being said that he will most likely end up at Hargrave to start no matter where he signs. I think he will be a sign and place for Ohio State.
Craig Loston - It looks he has narrowed it down to either LSU or Texas A&M. I believe he will sign with LSU.
William Campbell - His top five are Bama, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan. Bama is recruiting him as an OT and I think his best position in college will be DT. I like many others think that he will end up signing with Michigan.
Branden Smith - His top five are Bama, Florida, FSU, and Georgia. I think it will come down to either Bama or UGA with him ending up signing with UGA.
Bobby Massie - It looks like he has narrowed it down to either Bama, UGA, and UNC. I think it is a toss up between Bama and UGA and in the end he will signing with Bama.

I know this has mostly been covered but I thought I would throw in my two cents.
RR-Bama probably leads right now. Could change tomorrow. Smart kid who is taking his time to make the right decision.
DK-Much like Julio last year. Enjoying the process, entertaining Texas and Florida, really likes Mushcamp but in the end he stays close to his son and joins his best friend Jerrel Harris at the Capstone.
MM-This one is interesting to follow. Supposedly Ohio St. is slow playing him and its a possibility Alabama could land him for that reason. But as Surfer said he may end up at Hargrave anyway.
CL-Not long ago our staff felt good about our chances with him but then we cooled because of grades. Now our staff likes Darren Myles. I say LSU gets Loston and we get Myles.
WC-Probably Michigan bound. There are even reports he is already enrolled and is waiting for the AA game to make it official.
BS-Likes Bama and Saban. Loves UGA and so does is family. Hes a Dawg next year.
BM-UGA and UA battle. I agree with CS that he chooses us in the end.

I think we have at least a 50-50 chance with the first three, & are on the outside looking in with the last three. I think Massie comes to Bama. A front line with Massie, Moses, & Fluker would be hard to stop in '10.

Maybe this fellow isn't a 5-star, however, what is the feeling from recruiting junkies on the status of Tana Patrick? Did the Atchison commitment get a spot semi-reserved for him?

All I know is he's been offered and Saban stopped by to talk to him last Wednesday(the 17th). Beyond that, who knows. That master recruiter, Cheesit, has been in touch too , I see.

Bama bound .
No .

Yes, it is. I post on another board and enjoy my time over there, but this board is absolutely the best as far as solid opinion on recruiting by 'informed amateurs'. Excellent stuff, guys. Many thanks.
I wouldn't rule out a possibility of CB Janzen Jackson out of LA. He still plans to visit and some people feel he may change his mind when he does. LSU commit.
