• Under Armour All-American Game standout Greg Reid (Valdosta, Ga./Lowndes) is taking an official visit to Alabama this coming weekend. The Crimson Tide is looking to add at least one more speedy defensive back and Reid certainly fits the bill. All signs continue to point to Reid signing with Georgia as long as his academic situation allows.

I wonder if the 2nd FL MNC during The Reign of Urban I had anything to do with it?
I have no doubt. But the question Reid should be asking ?himself...............how much longer with Urban Meyer be coaching Florida. I always believed that if Florida won the NT that Urban's clock to Notre Dame will begin. Now that he won his 2nd NT, and will be losing his golden boy in a yr at worst, I would be careful about signing on with a coach who, IMO, won't be there long term.
Not that I wanted Reid, or even heard of him, he has to known that by his sophomore Urban should be coaching elsewhere.

I have no doubt that Urban will eventually end up at Notre Dame unless Weis ends up righting the ship and can solidify his position there (which doesn't look too good) or they replace him with someone that does build a winner there and stays for a long time. Basically not leaving an opening for Urban to go there anytime in the long run.
But basically, I don't see Urban leaving until his son gets older, so basically another 5 or 8 years. Much of the reason he isn't there already is because recruiting at Notre Dame requires so much time away from home, and at the time he had 3 children at home. I think by the time his 10 yo (I think) is preparing to head off to college I believe he'd be ready to take the job. I wouldn't exactly be worried about him leaving anytime soon.
I am not so sure about his desire to come to Bama. This came out in the AJC on the 9th. From what I remember this was the same day he was supposed to be in T-Town for his visit.
I have talked to a couple of UGA boosters and they are really up on him. The word that I hear is UGAs got a better than 50% chance of getting him to commit.
Personally I think he is just enjoying the recruiting process and that he stays with Florida.
