Sounds like mama has talked him into staying at home. Looks like uga or even the barn. Wow.

Re: ATH/CB Greg Reid Update (1/20): He has decided to end his recruitment by the Ga
And now the AJC is reporting that Reid will visit Tennessee this weekend, and not Alabama.
It's not really big news in my book because I never thought we had a legitimate shot at Reid anyway, and the last thing I want to say is him possibly being in Massie's ear about UGA. Either way, though, I swear this kid is just drawing names out of a hat at this point.

Agreed, he's just got names on a dart board. This guy is easily has the strangest recruitment story of the year so far.

His recruitment has to be up there with Willie Williams!!! It seems like changes every day and one of the reasons he didnt stick with UF was because he wasnt "guaranteed" playing time by Coach Meyer. I know alot of people think the guy is arrogant but I applaud Coach Meyer for telling it like it is!!

What about Marlon Pollard?

Good grief...
Now Scout.com is reporting that Alabama assistant coach Kirby Smart was at his high school today trying to get him to visit Alabama this weekend, and it seems like we could be getting the visit after all. Apparently Smart was there just about all of yesterday, and again today too.
Who even knows? At this point, we need a minute-by-minute update on this kid. I'll be frank, he's a great prospect, but I'm not sure if I would be too happy about picking him up with all of that extra baggage.

If there is one thing that sticks out about this year's recruiting overall nationally, it is the large numbers of commits that have de-committed and prospects constantly changing their minds about visits or schools of interest. For example just look at the strangeness or uncertainty surrounding one of the nations best RB prospects, Bryce Brown and his Miami commitment.

Word is that Reid IS in Tuscaloosa as we speak. I'll be interested to hear the updates as the weekend goes on.

The reports are that he really enjoyed his visit and he was very impressed with Bama. He said this was his first trip to Bama and he loved everything about his visit. He said it was amazing. I think Bama now may be in serious contention for his signature. He says that he is not naming a favorite and he will announce his commitment the day before NSD on Feb. 3rd. I think it will be down to either Bama, FSU, or UGA. His last visit is to UGA next weekend on Jan. 30th.
