The reports are that he really enjoyed his visit and he was very impressed with Bama. He said this was his first trip to Bama and he loved everything about his visit. He said it was amazing. I think Bama now may be in serious contention for his signature. He says that he is not naming a favorite and he will announce his commitment the day before NSD on Feb. 3rd. I think it will be down to either Bama, FSU, or UGA. His last visit is to UGA next weekend on Jan. 30th.
Yep . Reid said he enjoyed hanging with Arenas and that he'd never been anywhere like T'town . Called it "football crazy" . I'm glad he enjoyed his visit but , I still think our chances of landing him are probably no better than 20% .

Greg Reid is scheduled to take an official visit to Georgia on Friday, but rumors are swirling that he may switch out UGA for another school.
Reid confirmed to the AJC on late Sunday night that at least three schools - Miami, Tennessee, and Auburn - have requested that he bump the Bulldogs to take recruiting trips to their respective campuses. However, Reid said he will stick with his plans to travel to Athens.
“I’m going to Georgia this weekend, that’s where I’ll be,” Reid said.

Reid says that FSU and Bama are even. That comes during his comments about FSU's Coach Bobby Bowen, Coach Fisher, and Coach Andrews visiting him at his school today. Reid says all his favorites are even and he will visit UGA this weekend and announce his decision on Feb. 3rd the day before NSD.

Greg Reid wasn’t sure he was going to visit Alabama last Thursday night. He was checking out flights for Tennessee.
But Reid ended up going to Alabama the next day, and now it looks like the Crimson Tide is a serious contender.
Reid joked with friends and classmates at school on Monday, repeatedly saying “.” But he was very serious when he talked about his impression of Alabama coach Nick Saban.

The recruitment of Under Armour All-American Greg Reid (Valdosta, Ga./Lowndes) continues to take twists and turns. The speedy cornerback recently made an official visit to Alabama that threw what was shaping up to be a Florida State-Georgia battle into chaos again.
Nick Saban and staff have been looking for a player like Reid to add to their secondary haul this recruiting cycle and by getting him on the official visit (there was talk he would not make it to Tuscaloosa last weekend), they wedged themselves squarely in the mix.
"I don't have any favorites right now," Reid told ESPN affiliate TotalUGA.com following his trip to Tuscaloosa. "Florida State, Georgia, Alabama and now Miami are all even."

This would be an incredible pull to get Mr. Reid to sign with us. You gotta love how Coach Saban can get any elite player's attention, especially with his reputation as a top-notch defensive backfield coach. I love this:
Quote:
“He wasn’t like some of these other coaches, making all these promises and promises … [Saban] looked me in the eyes and said ‘I can’t really say that you’re going to come in here and start. You’ve got to come here and be ready to compete because the best man plays.’ That’s what I wanted to hear. [Saban] is a straight-up guy. That’s the kind of coach I like.”
We may still be a long shot, but I like the way that quote reads - says a lot in my opinion.
