Press-Register Super Southeast 120
Quote:
-- 1. WR Rueben Randle, Bastrop, La., 6-3, 195. A big, athletic receiver who makes tough plays look routine. He played quarterback his senior year, throwing for 2,461 yards and 20 touchdowns and adding 683 yards and 12 scores on the ground. Offers include LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

-- 2. OT D.J. Fluker, Foley, Ala., 6-7, 350. Freakishly massive lineman excelled in his first season at OT this year, grading 92 percent with 60 pancakes and 28 knockdowns, and put on a show at the U.S. Army All-American game earlier this month. Recorded 78 tackles and seven sacks as a DT last year at Biloxi (Miss.) High. Committed to Alabama.

-- 3. DB Dre Kirkpatrick, Gadsden, Ala., (Gadsden City), 6-2, 180. A physical cover corner who can also play the run and excel as a kick returner, he's generally considered the top cornerback prospect in the nation. Had an impressive interception on the first play of the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic. Long list of offers includes Alabama, Florida and Texas.

Super Southeast 120: Big-play wideouts have yet to choose their college destinations
Quote:
The top players from three Southeastern states are receivers who have not yet announced a commitment to a college program: Rueben Randle of Bastrop, La., Marlon Brown of Memphis and Patrick Patterson of Noxubee County, Miss.

Randle is the class of the group and again tops the Press-Register's revised Super Southeast 120 as the region's top prospect.

"He's the only (receiver) I've seen that's in the same group as last year's Julio Jones, A.J. Green and Deandre Brown," Rivals.com recruiting analyst Barry Every said of Randle, a 6-foot-3, 195-pounder who makes tough plays look routine. "He's going to have the same impact, unless something happens like an injury."
