ATH/LB Brent Calloway committed to Alabama. He is being recruited to Alabama as an athlete and he has been told by Bama coaches that they are looking at him as a LB prospect. I have him listed in the Commitments and Prospects List as a ATH.
re: 2011 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 6/27)
I added DT Quinton Dial to the prospects with an offer list.
Dial signed with Alabama in the 2009 class but he did not qualify academically. He has enrolled at East Mississippi CC this summer and will participate as a freshman on their football team this season. Dial is planning to graduate from JUCO in December 2010 and enroll at UA by the spring of 2011. Right now it is not known whether or not he will play one season of JUCO football and redshirt his sophomore year. If he does that it would allow him to have 3 years to play 3 years at Alabama like Devonta Bolton.
Calloway came out of nowhere this past season to become one of the premier running backs in the state. He rushed for 1,460 yards and 23 touchdowns in helping Russellville advance to the Class 5A state championship game.
At 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, Calloway knows he may get too tall to play running back. He expects to move to the other side of the ball at the next level.
"I know I'll be done with running back at some point because of my size," Calloway said. "Alabama is recruiting me as an athlete. They said I would probably play linebacker, or maybe be a slot receiver. I didn't play much defense last year, but I might play there more this season."

What year is Caleb Castille a Sr?
He is listed in the 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List as a WR prospect. It does not look very likely that he will get an offer from Bama. I have heard that he is not that interested in walking-on to Alabama. I don't know how accurate that info is though. We will see what happens with him. If I had to guess I would say he ends up at UAB.

I remember his dad telling us at REC that he was the most talented of the brothers. Interesting.

Thanks for the info.
I saw Caleb two years ago in Shreveport, and he was just a really small kid, period. When I saw him, I just didn't think he had the body and physical build of a legitimate BCS caliber prospect.
And, even so, keep in mind that Jeremiah might be right. Neither Tim or Simeon were overly athletic, really. Tim was a tailback recruit who ended up at fullback due to a lack of athleticism, and Simeon should have spent his entire career at safety, as was shown by his 4.7+ in the 40 at the NFL Combine last year. The only reason he stayed at corner was because we had a complete lack of quality depth there.

Hilliard will be a Corndog if they want him... way too many family ties to LSU / Louisiana for that not to happen.
Well now that LSU has offered him he does sound like an LSU lock in his latest comments made today. LSU definitely wants him and I will be very surprised if he ends up anywhere other than LSU.
Rivals' latest article says 2011 Valley (Ala.) safety Enrique Florence — expected to be one of the very best in-state players next year — has named Alabama as his new leader after camping at Bama.
He had previously named Auburn his leader, but said he never really had very strong feelings about them. He also said all his family are Bama fans, and his mom wants him to go to Bama.
