Rivals analyst Mike Farrell said that WR Kyle Prater told him that he now has an Alabama offer. Prater also said he is very interested in Alabama and he hopes to trim his list of favorites down to a top 10 by the end of May.
Re: 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 5/26)
I have moved both Garry Peters and Jonathan McKnight from the athlete section to the cornerback section of the prospect list. Both are classified as athletes on Rivals.com and both haved played multiple positions in HS but they are both being recruited to Bama as cornerbacks.
Bama has told some CB prospects that they are planning on signing somewhere around five CBs in the 2010 class. Both Peters and McKnight are top priorities and they both are listing Bama among their co-leaders or top favorites.
AuburnUndercover.com, "I've gotten close with all the coaches, and we keep in touch all the time. I really like the campus, and the people there are all good people. So Auburn leads right now until I make more visits."
Belue reports a verbal offer from Auburn to go along with offers from Alabama, UAB, Southern Miss, South Alabama and Georgia Southern.

Julian Horton previously stated that Alabama, Vanderbilt and North Carolina were his top three but that has changed.
He told ESPN affiliate Web site CrimsonConfidential.com, "I'm really open right now. I really like Maryland a lot because they've come and shown a lot of support and attention. I like Oklahoma State, Alabama, North Carolina. I really don't have a top three anymore. I'm just open to anybody."

are we recruiting Keenan Allen as a WR or as a DB?
Keenan Allen is one of the top rated athlete prospects in the country and with his versatility he could play several positions on offense or defense. His co-favorites right now are Alabama and Clemson. Allen is being recruited to Bama as WR and he is being recruited to Clemson as a strong safety. I have him listed in the prospect list as a WR just even though his Rivals.com profile lists him as an athlete.
At the recent Rivals.com North Carolina Five Star Showdown he beat out elite defensive backs as a wide receiver and held his own against top wide receivers as a cornerback in solo coverage.
Re: 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 5/26)
OK, I never want to offend any mods nor fellow posters by specifically asking one person a question, but I would really like to know what is going on with Justin Maclin. I figured we would easily be in the mix for him. I like his videos and feel like he is a "must have" for our program. Why all the hoopla about LSWho or is he simply "playing the game". I know its early for panic mode, but hey I panic often just generally not this soon. Have we cooled on him? I find it hard to believe that LSU is showing more love than we are... Any info as to what is going on?
Re: 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 5/26)
He also is being recruited by Bama as a Jack Linebacker. We recently got a commitment from Craig Sanders, who we were recruiting as a Jack Linebacker. That is most likely the reason LSU is his leader now.

this is from bhelmLSU, a poster over on tigerforums who seems to be very knowledgeable and it appears that he is the head recruiting guru over their also.
"Porter and his dad were on the same team in college and Yanowsky was one of their coaches. THe ties are very strong.
I am hearing we are out in front slightly now. One of the reasons is because Bama just got another commit, Craig Sanders. This is the 3rd or 4th guy Saban recruited for his Jack LB spot over the last 2 years. Maclin is very aware of the developments."
