Thanks for the insight. I just figured we would have to secure JM to continue in state dominence. We must have gotten top priority to have cooled on him, cause hes a good un.

RB Ken Malcome named his leader and top five favorites and Alabama is not included among them. I have already removed him from the prospect list even though he says that he plans to visit Bama this summer. Right now it does not look very promising that Bama will make it into his top favorites list or sign him.
Re: 2010 Alabama Commitments and Prospects List (Updated 6/01)
RB Marcus Lattimore revised his favorites list and cut it down to his top eight favorites. Bama is included. I have added him back to the prospect list.

This one ought to tell you all you need to know about the current strength of Alabama recruiting.
Lattimore is a five-star prospect, and widely considered one of the top five players in the country. However, Alabama is currently loaded at his position, and to the best of my knowledge we are not actively recruiting him. Moreover, he has never visited our Tuscaloosa campus. Nevertheless, we are still one of his final eight favorites.
Again, that ought to tell you all you need to know.

I know what you mean, BET.
Me, I don't worry about what other teams are doing and saying in this showy recruiting game - mainly cause we have gotten our team/coaches/program up and running at a high level, so quickly and consistently (recruiting efforts specifically).
And ultimately I always figure whatever players CNS wants to bring in and is able to develop will be all we need, cause the guy is a relentless competitor and he's got the championship hardware to show for it.
