South Mississippi Hometown Prospects

Share

My beloved Ocean Springs Greyhounds have two definite D-1 prospects this year, Travis(JT) Dickson and Allen Howze. No Deandre Browns but a couple of good ones.

Howze, a 6-1 195 running back has already committed to USM,which I think is a shame. He's one of those "no publicity under the radar" kids who I think will come on like Alonzo Lawrence and be recruited heavily late.
I personally think he could play in the SEC, and I'm about as tough a critic as there is.
If you saw this kid in person you'd think you were watching Glenn Coffee in an Ocean Springs uniform, straight ahead runner, explosive speed.

The other kid, JT Dickson, Bama has actually started taking a pretty serious look at, at least that's what I've heard. Coach Burns was down the other day.
JT is a great pass rushing defensive end, explosive off the corner, with room to grow. His brother Richard is the starting tight end at LSU. JT actually committed to LSU and then backed off. This kid can absolutely play.
His Dad played at State and his Grand Dad played at Ole Miss. Football family I'd say.

Anyway, here's a link to both of them. I'm always proud of my Ocean Springs guys. We've got a pretty darn good football program and possibly the best baseball program in the state.

Re: South Mississippi Hometown Prospects

Robert and I will have to cruise over on a game night this Fall and check these boys out. I'll let you know when and maybe I'll stop by the booth and say hey. You are still in the booth, right?

Wellll, I'm not sure. I'm actually trying to step aside and just enjoy watching the games but Coach Hubbard(AD) tells me that I'll be in the booth...lol..

If I know me, I'll be in the booth.

Oh...Savannah. I really hope we offer Dickson. Check out the vids of these kids on the links. I don't think you have to subscribe. I didn't.
But Dickson is incredibly versatile. There's not many kids that play FB, TE, and DE. I love him off the corner at DE. He's as fast as anyone I've seen.

Re: South Mississippi Hometown Prospects

Just looked this up. Dickson is rated a four star TE prospect by rivals. 13th in the nation, and a 3 star DE prospect by scout, 26th in the nation. I'd say that's pretty versatile.
