Micheal Bowman Qualifies?

Can anyone confirm this???

As with the Rod Woodson talk, right now it is just rumor / hearsay. Obviously the Internet rumblings are positive right now, but to be sure we have no confirmation just yet. Moreover, even if Bowman is telling people he qualified, that's not definite until he is approved by the NCAA Clearinghouse. Some kids think they are qualified and quickly run out and tell the world, only to find out the bitter truth (see Michael Ricks circa 2007).

One way or the other, if true, we should hear something in the next few days. The second summer semester starts tens days from tonight (next Wednesday, July 1st) so if he really made it we will not have to wait much longer to find out. We'll just have to see how it plays out, but once again I will reiterate that for now it is just rumor / hearsay.

Well shoot, feel free to delete if you'd like mods. I just thought maybe something had come out on BOL or something.

I'll leave it up for now just because we should hear something on Bowman soon (one way or the other), and with the caveat that we've made it explicitly clear that right now it is just rumor / hearsay that has not been confirmed in any way just yet.

The last verified update we have is that Bowman was taking a summer course in hopes of arriving in Tuscaloosa for the second summer session, which as mentioned earlier begins on July 1st. Aside from that, there is no news for now on the Bowman front. Anything above and beyond that, for the time being, is speculation.

Right now, just cross your fingers and hope for the best.

One final note... we should find out if this rumor is valid or not very shortly. In its original form, the rumor had there being some sort of an official announcement of Bowman gaining his academic eligibility by tomorrow (Monday). If it's true, we should find out very shortly. If not then or shortly thereafter, that should debunk this rumor.

We'll see . Things appear to be coming together quite well . Too well when looking at the totals but somehow Coach Saban will solve it . Once something official is known on Bowman , all eyes then turn to Lacy and Sentimore - fingers crossed as both guys are superior to high quality signees IMO .

Maybe all of the remaining question mark signees will qualify, that would be scary to the boys to the east.

I know it doesn't mean much, but I heard from someone that at least I trust that Bowman is in. Take it for what its worth.

I'm excited for him making an impact this fall. I personally think he would make a great slot receiver.

The Internet rumblings largely continue to say that, but again we have no official confirmation yet. Usually when kids get word from the Clearinghouse, they go shouting it from the roof tops. Obviously here Bowman is being completely silent. Perhaps it's a situation where they think he has done what he needs to do to qualify, but he is still waiting on the official ruling from the Clearinghouse.

Lacy says he's got a mid 80's algebra II score, and just needs to bump that up to an 'A' to qualify. Then we'll hear from the clearing house. fingers crossed for lacy!
