I really don't have a list of the last 8 eight prospects and their priority. I really can only venture a guess as to a top eight but it is a long way until NSD and a whole lot will happen between now and them.
If you are assuming that Bama has 18 commits like Rivals.com right now, which I do, and that Bama will sign 8 more then that would be a total of 26 in the 2010 class. If you are assuming that both Devonta Bolton and Brandon Lewis are already committed to Bama like Scout.com then the total number is 20 right now and Bama will sign eight more then that would be a total of of 28.
I don't think Bama will take both Bolton and Lewis and maybe not even either one of them. That is just my opinion. The particulars of that situation will have to work itself out between now and NSD. I also don't think Bama will sign 28 in the 2010 class. I am thinking it will be at the most 25 but that is just an opinion based on the numbers crunch going on right now for the 2009 class coming in. Also there are not a whole lot of scholarship seniors on the team this year that will be leaving to make room for the 2010 class.
I will list what I think could be the final seven for a total of 25 and then throw in what I think could be an eighth signee even though I would not consider him likely at this point. This is just who in my opinion may end up signing with Bama not necessarily a priority list.
1. TE Harrison Jones
2. OT Damien Robinson
3. ATH/WR Keenan Allen
4. ATH/WR DeMarco Cobbs
5. ATH/DE Victor Beasley
6. OT James Stone
7. LB C.J. Mosley
8. LB Ladarius Owens
I am having a hard time with my own list because I do not have a likely DT prospect on it. But that is the way I see it right now. Hopefully some others will add their opinions.
Thanks Surf, Yea I was counting both of them but you right it will have to wrk itself out..... I had a very hard time trying to narrow down the final 7-10 depending on how you look at it because there was always hope Prater(spelling??) the WR could shock us all so if you add in he might give us a serious look and Owens as well it does make it very very tight for the final spots... Not even counting the huge kid from MS cannot think of name Cameron I think or something like it 6'7" 330+ is all I know.
Oh well thanks for the input and I guess we will just have to wait and see how all of this works out~!~ Will say it is a good problem to have but man if CNS can fit it all in the rest of the open spots my hats off to him~!~

That would be the one......... Was reading BOL this morning and they have a story on the story line on recruiting so far and it seems they are not even sure who is going to land the last few spots so I guess we ALL have to wait and see~!~

This is a rather strange development. He named us in his original top four, then it was said he only had a top six. Now his new top four doesn't include us. I'm glad he'll still visit. I think a trip to Tuscaloosa will put us back up there, and Phillip Sims can certainly help by being in his ear.

I wouldn't get your hopes up. He's always been a long shot at best IMHO.

Oh, I know. I just want to see Alabama have a chance at him. With a visit, and Coach Saban and Phillip Sims selling him on the program, I like our chances better than most.

Help Surf, I've missed something. I was looking for the status of SDEs and didn't see Brandon Willis from Duncan, S.C. Byrnes High on the list. Rivals still shows him with an offer. Sorry to bother you, but what happened?

Here is a list of 2010 prospects that are showing interest in Alabama and list Alabama among their favorites. Prospects with Bama offers that are firmly committed to other schools are not listed. Prospects with Bama offers that do not list Bama among their favorites or show low or no interest in Alabama are not listed.
On July 14th Willis cut his list of schools down to a top five of Cal, FSU, UNC, Tennessee, and UCLA.
