Do we have a possible shot at any off these 5 Stars that haven committed.
As I said before, I think we get Damien Robinson, and I've thought that for quite some time now.

That said, though, it would be a major shock for us to get any of the rest, even by Saban standards.

WR - Kyle Prater ... Hillside IL
OL - Jordan Hicks ... West Chester, Ohio
CB - Lamarcus Joyner ... Fort Lauderdale, FL
OT - Damien Robinson ... Olive Branch, MS
DT - Garrison Smith ... Atlanta, GA

DE - Corey Lemonier ... Hialeah, FL -- Maybe Leaning to NC

RB - Marcus Lattimore ... South Carolina -- Maybe Leaning to Penn St.

I was hoping that we might at least be in the mix on
Kyle Prater or Jordan Hicks

I know were stroking but I want to hope that Saban still has some strong surprises left - What do you think?
We will probably come closest to landing D. Robinson off of that list. However, there is plenty of time to make a great impression on those guys once the season starts.

Seemingly, Alabama's prospect board is so loaded with talented prospects that its a no lose situation. I'm just excited to see who ends up signing with us!!RTR!

Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

i posted this in the thread "who's left on the target list?".

here's my list of who i think the rest of our class will consist of:

Corey Grant
C.J. Mosley
Brian Vogler
Damien Robinson
Harrison Jones
Johnavon Fulton
Garry Peters
Keenan Allen
EDIT-Victor Beasley

those are the prospects that i am almost positive we will sign, though here are the only others i'm on the fence about:

Ladarius Owens
Markeith Ambles
Johnathon McKnight
Vincent Sanders
Tony Grimes
James Carmon
Jakar Hamilton

the rest of our class could be any combination of the guys mentioned in both lists above IMO.

EDIT-are Devonta Bolton and Brandon Lewis commited or not? if not, go ahead and add them to my first list.

We really do not know the deal right now.

I will say this, though: If Bolton and Lewis can get eligible and enroll early at Alabama (i.e. this December), we will probably take them. On the other hand, if they cannot enroll early, I imagine you can forget it with these two.

Again, we really do not know the deal right now with these two, but I think that's probably the best guesstimate of how this will play out.

Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

The Prospect that i am most intrigued by is Kyle Prater. He is one that I see looking real hard at us. I understand it is hard for us to go up north and steal one, but look at Mark Ingram.

BET,

just out of curiosity, I noticed that Bolton is rated as a 4*, but Lewis is only rated a 1*. is that due to the fact that Scout has not had a chance to evaluate Lewis or did he not have an impressive year??

btw, Belue and Williams have only 1* star as well. I am assuming that Scout will eventually get around to rating our commits. I was very surprised to see Cade Foster get a 4* for a kicker?? that rarely happens!!

Weren't we supposed to hear something on the assessment of Deion Belue by the end of this past week?

There were other factors that helped us out a lot with Mark - his dad played for Coach Saban at Michigan St. And, what I heard was that Mark's dad was/is completely sold on Coach Saban, not just as a good coach, but a great person who cares about and participates in his athletes' off-the-field development. Without that "in", I'm not sure we could have pulled him. I do think Bama has a lot to offer athletes from anywhere in the country, though, so you never know.

One that I did not see, was DeMaro Cobbs, WR out of Ok. I know he is a long shot but I think we still have a shot at him.

Mark Sr. dad had trouble staying out of trouble even way back then. Nick was in charge of keeping Mark out of trouble. Well Mark Sr.'s girlfriend at the time would frequently get calls from Coach Saban looking for Mark. Well that girlfriend later became Mrs. Ingram and when CNS came calling about her son Mark Jr. she remembered him and all that he had done to keep her husband out of trouble when he was in college and immediately decided that was who she wanted Mark to play for. This is one of my favorite recruiting stories ever and is a testament to Saban's character and the impression he makes on the families of recruits.

It is definitely not a long shot. It will come down to USC/UA battle for Cobbs. USC has the lead at the moment after he camped there but he will be in Tuscaloosa in July for 4 days for camp. His comments afterward should be telling.

Help me out with another one AT. DeAndrew White. I haven't seen his name much here on Tidefans, but in at least one of Andrew Bone's recruiting chats, he indicated that we have a better than average shot. Any info is greatly appreciated.

White seems to be a guy that teams are gonna have to wait for. He has no favorites, hasn't trimmed his list down to finalists, and has no problem leaving Texas if his favorite ends up somewhere else. But has had a lot of favorable things to say about Alabama from fans to coaches to style.

So when there is no home state favorite and he sees some advantages of Bama, and you have Nick Saban your chances are definitely above average

He is someone for us to keep an eye on, but he hasn't really given too much for anybody to get too excited over. He'll probably take all of his officials in the fall prior to giving a commitment

That's a pretty good summary on White right now. He is a very good prospect but I believe he is below Cobbs and Prater on our board and possibly Ambles. He seems to be very open and doesn't have a Texas offer though he does have some very good offers from out of state. If we get him on campus it would go a long way to us getting his signature. All in all it has been pretty quiet on the White front and his recruitment should go on for a while.
