Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

Do we have enough room for all of those guys to sign? Do Brandon Lewis and Devonta Bolton count against this year's class?

I think we sign those guys on the list. Sanders is a possibility, but I think Keenan Allen will be the 4th WR in the class. I think JF is the only back we sign. I hope we can sign CG, but I don't know if there is room. Carmon hasn't sounded very fond of us in articles on him b/c everyone wants to compare him to Cody and it sounds like he wants to make a name for himself, not play in the shadows of another. One not on the list that I think we sign is Mosley. I don't know any names for a NT, but I'm sure we sign one. Brandon Lewis and D. Bolton could also re-sign with us and report.

Big A Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

I've heard Carlos Gray (DL from Pinson) was very impressive at the Alabama camp and then I read an article about him on TI earlier this week. What are the chances of Alabama offering him?

Our numbers are getting really tight now and I would assume Gray getting an offer would be contingent on Bama missing out on other prospects.

If he shows out in the next camp like he did the past two, the odds of him getting an offer are probably pretty good. We would have to miss on a few guys, but you are going to miss on a few regardless, so that isn't a problem.

If we don't take him, he'll end up at Tennessee. He's going to end up at some big name SEC program even if we do not offer... too much raw size and athleticism not to take a shot on him as a long-term project.

James Stone is very high on Alabama. Vanderbilt is also a major player for the Nashville product. I would in no way characterize Stone's recruitment as signed, sealed, and delivered to Tennessee.

Maybe so, but he's TN to loose.

Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

I always hesitate to do these predictions, especially this early. But I'm kinda expecting Victor Beasley to be a part of this class and I think that would make me pretty happy. he has a lot of potential and hopefully we can pair him with Mosley as LBs for this class (well Sanders too I guess).

And I'm really hoping Allen rolls with the Tide. That guys is big time.

But seeing the list of names we're in great shape with and knowing what is already committed, just makes it all too fun to be a Tide fan right now

Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

What about Mosley and Owens?

Assuming Mosley commits first would Owens still have a commitable offer? It’s hard to read Mosley but it looks like we have the best shot with him. If Mosley commits then we have potentially 3 LBs in the class (Mosley and Sanders) plus Bolton if he does not play WR.

It would be wonderful to watch the aubs self destruct if we took Owens and Mosely with their deficiencies at LB, but with the guys we currently have, wouldn’t it make more sense to take one of them and use the other for a DT, DE or another position?

I agree with you Mosley has to be on any Bama list. I do however believe that Owens is going to sign with Auburn.

Bama now has 16 commits. I think they will sign a full class somewhere between 25 to 28 and bring in 25 on scholarship.

Here is my list of a dozen of the most likely prospects that will sign with Bama.

ATH/WR Keenan Allen
ATH/DE Victor Beasley
ATH/LB Devonta Bolton
RB Corey Grant
WR Vincent Sanders
TE Harrison Jones
TE Brian Vogler
OT Damien Robinson
LB C.J. Moseley
CB Johnavon Fulton
ATH/CB Garry Peters
DT or DE to be named later.

Big A Re: Remaining 2010 Prospects!!

Do we have a possible shot at any off these 5 Stars that haven committed.

WR - Kyle Prater ... Hillside IL
OL - Jordan Hicks ... West Chester, Ohio
CB - Lamarcus Joyner ... Fort Lauderdale, FL
OT - Damien Robinson ... Olive Branch, MS
DT - Garrison Smith ... Atlanta, GA

DE - Corey Lemonier ... Hialeah, FL -- Maybe Leaning to NC

RB - Marcus Lattimore ... South Carolina -- Maybe Leaning to Penn St.

I was hoping that we might at least be in the mix on
Kyle Prater or Jordan Hicks

I know were stroking but I want to hope that Saban still has some strong surprises left - What do you think?
