Alabama has come to a point where it is recruiting players that will wind up in the NFL rather than just being able to play in the SEC! It is a tribute to Sabans recruiting genius!

It is a tribute to Saban and his staff! It certainly wasnt like this before! Sorry if you have objections!

I don't really follow either. Doesn't every school recruit future NFL players?

And yeah, it was like this before, maybe not quite to this level, but we've had plenty of great recruiting classes in the past. We've had tons of NFL players and 1st Team All Americans. I guess I don't really understand the point of the thread either. Coach worship much?

The point I am making is we have not recruited at this level! When have we recruited the top class 2 years in a row? Seems obvious we will only put more players in the NFl if we recruite the best ! I have not said that Alabama has not tried to recruit NFl talent, they allways have but you have to go back to Gene Stallings to see the talent level we are recruitng now. Their were 3 players on that team that went in the first round! We have not seen that since! But mark my word you will wilth Saban! The point I was trying to make is we have not had anyone recruit at this level! If we have recruited better than this just post when it was? If you go all the way back to Bear I will not argue! How could this thread fame so many?

I agree with crains we may have had some good classes before but back to back #1 classes and this year could possibly be just as good. If he wants to brag about the team let him ....unless you have a better topic to talk about offseason.

Most of the senior players off the 1992 team that went on to the NFL were recruited by Bill Curry believe it or not. I think there were one or two JUCO exceptions.

Bama has always put a good number of players in the NFL over the years but you are right Bama is recruiting at a whole new level under CNS.

You are definitely not alone. IMO, Bama has never recruited at this level. Certainly not since Coach Bryant. Even then Bama did not usually dominate in the state like Saban now.
