With the family ties, with his father and brother, and the need for another TE in this class, I think its most likely that Harrison will choose Alabama over North Carolina.
We lose Colin Peek and that leaves only Smelley and Dial as true pass catching threats. Underwood is unknown at this point. This is not to day that Williams or Billingsley can't develop into a threat. It just seems that the coaching staff wants to add two TEs in this class. Posted via Mobile Device
And, if last year is any indicator, the tight end plays a rather large role in coach Mac's offense.

True, and not to overly belabor the point. But Michael Bowman is already as big or bigger than Harrison. And there's been speculation that Love the younger and Ming might be asked to make the switch.
If CNS wants him, so be it. But with Allen, Alfy, talk of another receiver, plus all the linebackers and offensive linemen still swirling around, one can make the case that one less tight end in this class or a gray shirt may be an acceptable outcome.

Bowman is a WR and he's not likely to move from there. Wilson Love will likely play on either the offensive or defensive line IMHO, and while Ming could make the move early indications are he's been pretty impressive at DE so a move probably wouldn't be all that likely. The numbers are tight but if CNS wants him I have no doubt he has a plan for how to make it happen.

Not sure why the tone is so bearish on this kid on here...when I look at him, I see a young Dallas Clark...we're taking him to play in that Brad Smelley stand-up TE/H-back role...he can play in the slot and make the 8 yd catch on 3rd and 7...
Great player, great hands, great kid, great student, great leader, why wouldn't we take him? To me it's a no-brainer...

To be fair it seems to be coming from solely one person.

I'm hearing we will find out Jones' descision tonight around midnight. Sounds like he is rolling with the Tide. RTR
Lots of unconfirmed rumblings about that happening, but again nothing confirmed yet. We'll see.
Midnight is an odd hour to commit, though. On the other hand, Jarrick Williams committed at around 11:00 a couple of months back, so that type of thing does happen occasionally.
