There are some LSU peeps that think he was asked to hold off publicly committing because they are worried it will hurt LSUs chances with Lache Seastrunk. I do not believe that is the case. Lache is this year's TR, and I don't think SJs decision will affect Lache's. Ironically, I think WR Trovon Reed's decision will affect Lache more than SJs...for whatever reason. I guess they have just become good friends, and want to play for the same team. Although Barners have "claimed" both Lache and Reed, they are finally acknowledging that Reed is leaning LSU. They still feel good about Lache, though. I don't think they should, FWIW. But again, I don't think Lache is an LSU lock, either. I think Reed is though.
Fishhead, I know you are one of our most knowledgeable and respected foreign posters. That is why it worries me even more when you indicate both Seastrunk and Reed most likely are heading to LSU. I would a whole lot rather have us play against them on a bad Auburn team than on a great LSU team.
With regard to the LSU past recruiting posts, I understand it is natural to want to set the record straight. Lord knows we Alabama fans are as disposed to do that as anyone. I do though wonder why you did not decide to do it in a more friendly tone.

Repeat offender. I think if you're gonna make bold statements like HE WAS there, you better be right. I didn't smack talk...I just presented facts. I am certain it came across as though I was calling him out...and I was. But I was doing it with facts...something he wasn't utilizing in his smack post. Each time I have called him out with facts, he has disappeared from whatever the thread was.

Nobody was saying CLM>CNS. Nobody was saying Les invented OOS recruiting at LSU. However, LSU has recruited OOS for years, and their recent successes OOS have to do more with their recent successes on the field...attributable to both CLM AND CNS.

Some just don't like threads about LSU being on this board. That's why I don't start threads about LSU here. But if a Bama fan starts a thread about LSU, I think MOST on here want to hear from posters like me and Red 55, and some others LSU posters.
-
Red and I are about the only LSU posters here anymore, and for the most part, that's probably a good thing. But since it is just me and Red, and we don't talk smack, it just bugs me when friendly, informative conversations are interrupted with smack against us. I like this board a lot...because it is NOT a smack board.
Sorry if I stepped on anyone else's toes.

Reason: It looked like I was saying bigmammal was making "bold statements" without facts...I was talking about someone else.
re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment
OK, please lets just keep this Storm Johnson thread informative and friendly.
This discusison is trying to take a turn in the wrong direction for some reason. Easy now folks we are here to discuss recruiting without getting personal. The tone is starting to get a little back and forth and we don't want that.

Of course you are right CS. You'd think that after a thousand lessons or so given me about why I should mind my own business, I'd learn to. Sorry Fishhead.
re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment
This thread is fine...moving on.

LSU is holding a camp that begins Saturday and runs thru next Wednesday. I figured since SJ was at LSU last Saturday, he wouldn't make the trip two weeks in a row...but now I'm hearing he is still coming. If so, that we answer a lot of questions about what went down this past weekend. At least it will show that the bridge was NOT burnt. I'll update the thread with any info concerning whether he shows up or not.

This kid looks like he's already in college playing ball. Why isn't Auburn going after him?
Probably because they're still under the delusion that they can get Seastrunk, Dyer, or Lattimore. Or hell in their case, all three! Silly barners!
