Why would he go to the barn?
Lots of early playing time and only 2 hours from his hometown. Like it or not, Auburn will still get a few decent commits.

re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment

I don't know why he would want to go to Auburn. He says he wants to get out of Georgia in the interview below. Seriously, I am wondering why Bama is not after him. I watched him on TV in the 7-0n-7 tournament in Florida and he has some very good hands for a RB. He made an amazing TD catch that you would think only a very skilled WR could have made.

Re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment

He's too big to play RB at Auburn. They already turned down 6'2" 220 lbs. Demont Buice and sent him to Clemson. I wish we had more room in this class I would personally love to have Johnson. But not over Fowler or Grant of course.

Re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment

When he re-opened things he said it was LSU and Florida State so I think he might end up in Tallahassee.

Really, though, I have no idea. This is a strange situation. Spencer Ware probably has a lot to do with it..more than Seastrunk anyway.

Re: RB Storm Johnson withdraws disputed LSU commitment

He's definitely a good looking prospect to say the least. I'm curious as to why GT isn't in the mix. They would seem to have a built in attraction for RB's, unless of course grades are an issue.

But, if he isn't playing for us I would like for him to go out of conference for sure! We have enough elite RB's on opposing teams as it is. LSU in particular needs to slow down on signing all these "killer" backs, dont'cha know.

Re: RB Storm Johnson Update (8/21)

It looks like Bama is being strongly considered by Storm Johnson now.

Storm Johnson - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN
Quote:
"Right now, I'm in the middle of deciding which school I want to go to," the nation's No. 6-rated RB said. "I'm trying to take it slow and just looking at each team. I want to see how I fit into their program and go on from there. There is Florida State, Penn State, Oklahoma, and Michigan State."

"Florida State is pretty high," he continued. "I mean I don't really have a number for them. I have a good strong six or seven. You can add Ole Miss, Alabama, and Kentucky. I'm just taking everything slow. I really want to look at each school and see where I fit in. I consider everybody even."
