Max always has a different take on recruiting than the other guys. My question about beasley is what do we do with him? He is a strange kind of tweener. Maybe too tall for safety, can he grow into a linebacker, or does he have wide receiver skills? Great athlete, I'm sure CNS has a plan, probably get him on campus and see what we've got and then decide, puts a lot of pressure on the coaching staff, working for saban is tough but a challenge that will reward you later. I know we've been spoiled the last few years with our recruiting, but I don't think someone who's 6'5" and 220 lbs really has to "grow" into a linebacker. He's already bigger than Jerrell, Chris Jordan, Reamer and Anders. If anything, he could throw on another 20-30 lbs and be a sick DE, although in our system, CNS would prefer our ends to be around 270-280.

I did not realize beasley was that heavy, jack sounds like the best place for him, sometimes i forget these guys are just kids, some are still growing. Rumor has it fluker is still growing, that's scary, hope he doesn't too big, there comes a point where in football size becomes an enemy not an ally.
For what it's worth, Beasley just dominated a Scout.com 7-on-7 tournament in Mountain Brook yesterday.
Now don't get me wrong, I think he's overrated as the #2 player in the country, but he's a fine prospect, and he's sure as hell not just another middling three-star. At the rate his stock is surging, he's going to end up a high four-star who could go just about anywhere in the country.
I'm hoping we can lock up this young man soon, because his stock is about to start soaring, and if he waits that will only bring further competition from Georgia, Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and all the rest.

This just out from Andrew Bone,
"Beasley told me yesterday it didn't matter which schools offer him. He has the offers that he wants.
He is receiving a lot of family pressure to take some visits before making a decision. This is why he is saying a decision will likely come after the season.
Beasley loves Alabama."

I will be surprised if Victor Beasley waits until after the football season to commit to Bama. In my opinion if he waits that long he will end up going elsewhere other than Bama.
Since this thread is somewhat about Max Emfinger here is an old article from him with his 2000 All-American team picks for USA Today.

Honestly, it seems to me like he is just waiting on getting the okay from his parents that he can commit, and once he gets that he will commit to Alabama.
I'm like you, if he waits another five months or so to commit, that's not good news for us. He's obviously as high as you can be on us right now, so for there to be a delay that long, it's hard to see that being a positive for 'Bama. I think that would probably mean that he either doesn't have a committable offer from 'Bama yet, that has parents will not let him commit to 'Bama, or something along those lines.
