This one's for all of the recruiting gurus here at Tidefans. It's signing day and you have to sign a LB. You have 2 choices: L. Owens, and C. Mosely. Who do you pick and why?

Moseley. More polished and complete LB. More experienced and more prepared for the college game. Owens is a player no doubt but will need more coaching up as a LB.

Plus, from everything I've read, Mosley is very pro-Bama. That has to count for something.

I would take C.J. Mosley, as he seems to be the more polished of the two, and he's from Mobile. LaDarius Owens is no slouch, but I just like C.J. a little more. I would love to have them both, but I'm not 100% convinced that LaDarius will turn off the pleas from Auburn about his ties there, and sign with Alabama.

Coach Bryant, after announcing his retirement, was asked if he was dissappointed that an Alabama player had never won the Heisman Trophy while he was the coach. He said, "No!", and added, "At Alabama our players do not win Heisman Trophies, our teams win national championships."
I don't play the "pick one" game with them. I take 'em both if they'll come. Then I ask Coach Saban to reach into his jar of pixie dust and make the numbers work out.
It may never be clear which is really the best player.
Friends who have seen Owens play really like him. He may be the more versatile of the two. As gurus here have said, Moseley may be more fundamentally sound.
Granted it is difficult to pin down which of our newest LBs will play where, but if Hightower does switch, our depth at ILB two years out could be a little shaky.
I like it that Moseley has said academics and campus life are important to him.
Also like it that he hasn't let his recruitment become a Barn one day, Bama the next day affair.
I honestly don't know anyone who has personally eyeballed both, but tidejuice's statement: ("but ive seen mosely, hes like a shining light of greatness"), tips the scales for me.
