Is this the type of attention that Lane Kiffin wants? Every prospect that goes there should go there. If they are blown away by photo shoots with Ferarri's, coaches tearin' off their clothes to show their passion for football and making false accusations on other coaches whom they can't hold a candle to, then they need to be a Tennessee Volunteer. We don't want boys joining our football program. We want young men who are ready to become men. Many will be recruited. The chosen few will excel. Roll Tide!
Without top-level speed or superior height and weight, I don't see him being a skills player on offense unless he has a Jerry Rice-esque in running routes. He seems more like a DB body-type just looking at the measurables.
He had a bad day at the usc camp he is more like a 4.5 4.6 type guy, wich is plenty fast enough..the thing about cobbs that makes him a good fit at bama is his toughness, have you guys watched his videos? When he gets the ball in the open field he's like a RB tough to bring down and throws a mean stiff arm..I think he is a prototype 1 wr for our team and I believe we would never regret him coming to bama...RTR!!!!! It was titled: Cobbs just called

Dropped a big shock on me considering how late it is. Huge call I might add. Told me Vols are his number 1 school....said he wanted to clear the rumors about a scout article saying they weren't in his top 3...
Under Armour All-American athlete DeMarco Cobbs (Tulsa, Okla./Central) still maintains a top six of Oklahoma, Tennessee, Alabama, LSU, Georgia and Florida.
ESPN affiliate Web site CrimsonConfidential.com reports that Cobbs will definitely take official visits to LSU and Tennessee, schedule permitting. The other destinations are to-be-determined, "The other three officials, I don't know yet. I'm still questioning those three visits."

It makes you wonder when you see a guy who was a potential five-star athlete basically have his recruitment drop at two of the biggest programs in the nation (OU and USC). Alabama's obviously not recruiting him very hard either, but haven't closed the door completely either.
Is he just not living up to the tape in person or are people making too much of USC and OU dropping interest?
He's been underwhelming at best on the camp circuit so far. His showing at USC's camp was not good at all to the point where they've supposedly just stopped recruiting him at all.

That is why I said I don't think he will end up at Bama. To me it just doesn't look like he is a top priority for Bama and the number of schollies left is very limited. Of course with him naming Bama in his top three anything could happen.

ADG's Richard Davenport sez in an article today that Cobbs will come to Arkansas on an official and some games(which he's done before). And he never mentions us in his top whatever of the week.
