Possible Rating Improvements for 2010 Commits?

Share

First, let me acknowledge that I am aware that ranking of recruits by recruiting services is pure guess work. Having said that, there is some basis in their past performance for such a ranking. So my question to those that follow this much closer than I do is this: Which of our current commits are most likely to improve their current ranking this season (i.e., a 4 star recruit becomes a 5 star or a 3 star recruit becomes a 4 star)?

Regardless or whether or not any of them move up down or not at all, I am sure that CNS has determined they are worthy of the scholarship offer and that is good enough for me. I was just curious if there are any borderline players that are currently perceived as under-ranked by those in the know.

Thanks. RTR!

P. Sims could get a boost to 5.

Shepherd, Carswell, Belue, Lindsay, and B. Sims all could make claims to 4 star status, and I say that because I believe there are players with comparable skill sets ranked much higher than they are at each of their respective positions.

On the flip side, I hope they don't drop Fowler, but it is conceivable since he won't play this year.

Agreed RTO. And while I was surprised and impressed that both Scout and Rivals recognized Fowlers talents enough to award him a 4th star knowing he was ineligible in 09. I really don't see where they could justify dropping him from there now, its not like they've re-evaluated him.

The only one I think may change is Blake Sims. His latest video has gotten some attention, and now that he is being rated as an ATH instead of as a QB will help him.

Well I was really surprised when Rivals didn't give Carswell and Blake the 4 star (probably more with Ronald). Carswell did nothing but impress on the camp circuit.

I think Belue stands a chance with his nice height and great speed (or plain athleticism) for the corner position, he's gonna have to show some general improvement in technique and display his skills at the position over the year though to get a bump IMO
