Arkansas refused to offer Mosley. He would not participate in camps and earn one and his play this year is horrid for someone who is suppose to play in the UnderArmor game. That goes back to his and Dyer's handler, Walt Williams who worships Gus like a false God. Cheezedik has nothing in this, This is Malzahn's recruit and the only reason he's going to Auburn. Malzahn leaves Dyer will not play at Auburn.

Dyer is 19 and will be 20 as a true freshman. I wonder what Ark's true freshman, Knile Davis would do in 4A ball in Ark as an 19 year old. (He just turned 18)

This Auburn thing hasn't been a secret in Ark since Mosley didn't get offered at a camp he only showed up for and did not participate in way back in early summer. Feelings have been hurt ever since.

Re: RB Michael Dyer Commits To Auburn

Have to give the cow tippers credit when it's due . While I've made it clear I'm not overly impressed with any of the big 3 (Dyer , Lattimore , Seastrunk) if I were to choose one , Dyer would be my pick .

Let me explain who Walt Williams is. Walt runs an outfit called Pinnacle Preps. It does websites for teams and also offers "services" to market players in order for them to receive scholarship offers. This includes video clips, websites and mailers to schools to sell his clients. He's associated with Underarmor. His 'services" can cost upwards of 2,000. If your thinking about the shady underbelly of AAU basketball, your thinking right.

Walt played for Malzahn at Shiloh Christian. He worships Malzahn. Will do anything in his power to steer a player in Ark that his "client" to Malzahn. He hates Petrino. He has been outed on several Arkansas message boards (Arkansas related or just Prep related) for his anti-Petrino bent. Dyer is his ticket to the big time. Most assume his Dyer work is pro bono. He hopes to capitalize this into more influence in Arkansas prep football. He's got enemies in Arkansas now, I would not want to be him. Some websites thick with lawyers were begging him to sue them over defamation a couple of months ago. (yes he went around firing off letters) They want to get his ... into deposition.

Mosley has been Dyers ride to all his unofficial visits. Wherever Mosley went Dyer was in tow. It was unseemly that Mosley's Dad was blatently using Dyer to help sell his son Dakota. Dakota may end up being a great guard in D1 but he refused to practice there at camps. He ain't no TE at D1, and if he is he'll only be used as an extra lineman and an occassional off guard receiver. The only reason Dakota didn't annouce is that Ogeron blew some awesome smoke up his butt. He only has an offer there due to Dyer. Tenn will stay hard after him to persuade Dyer to change over to them. IF Dyer doesn't and Tenn doesn't pull Mosley's offer, I'd be the most shocked person in the world.

Look who Walt's featured prospect is:

Re: RB Michael Dyer Commits To Auburn

Interesting development today.

Memphis fired West, Malzahn's name is out there for that job. Malzahn leaving would impact Dyer to Auburn tremendously. Malzahn lit up the CUSA at Tulsa and would likely make Memphis a top CUSA team quickly. Cheezdik best have someone lined up cause Malzahn is getting blood from that turnip not him.

I never even thought of that possibility, but man, I would love to see the Barn squirm some more.

Losing their OC and the possibility of losing their prize recruit would put the aubies in a horrific meltdown.

Maybe Chizik could get Franklin back as OC. With the proper support he could likely do as well as Malzahn...........he did get them their QB that was 17 or 18 passing against Furman.
