Does anyone know anything about him, I remember he was committed to LSU at one point. Andrew Bone said he was very high on Alabama. This guy looks to be one of the top backs in the country, I think he was over looked. Who is the favorite? Does Alabama really need him?

From highlights, he looks like a kid with a lot of potential. He was very close to commiting to LSU but I think they're waiting on Seastrunk, who knows. But I think we could definitely use another back like Storm. We're starting to look like Pete Carrol's bunch in the backfield........but better
I mean, how could Danielson screw up a name like Storm Johnson???????
It's sooo simple!!!

As I understand it, the delay was called by the governor of Louisiana in order to position snipers just in case Randle tried "sometin' funnay" -IH8Orange

I'm thinking Strom Jackson would be how he would screw it up.

The quote of the week came when Upshaw noted the AU coaching staff was still recruiting him. “They said I could come to AU and be another Quentin Groves. I told them that I could go to Alabama and be another Quentin Groves,” he said.

Just completely call him someone else.

Coach Bryant, after announcing his retirement, was asked if he was dissappointed that an Alabama player had never won the Heisman Trophy while he was the coach. He said, "No!", and added, "At Alabama our players do not win Heisman Trophies, our teams win national championships."
Two players with the initials SJ are WAY too much for CBS.
maybe they just think they are too cool to say the players names the right way?

LSU was recruiting Johnson along with several other top running backs but had limited room for RB's with two committed, #1 RB Seastrunk a strong lean, and another top-10 back very interested. Johnson and his father visited LSU unofficially last summer on his birthday, fell in love with the program, went home and his father announced publicly that he had committed to LSU.
Trouble was . . . he only had a conditional offer from Les who wanted to see Johnson play this year before making it a committable offer. Les cannot publicly comment on recruits, obviously, but LSU let it be known to them privately that Johnson did not yet have an offer to commit to.
Johnson tried to push the issue with LSU for a while, but eventually got the message and "decommitted". He stated at the time that LSU was still a candidate but all his options were open, . . . but his father seemed to be upset about the matter, even though it was he that played his son's recruiting out in the papers instead of privately.
I think LSU was seriously interested in Johnson, who appears to be a fine running back, but didn't have the room to offer him when he wanted the offer. I also believe Les wanted to continue to consider Johnson for a late-season offer, but grew increasingly annoyed at Johnson's overbearing father airing his every thought in the newspapers and backed off of him.
He may have some serious baggage, but he looks like a player to me.
