Under Armour All-American receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga.) is expected to take some visits before making his final decision, ESPN affiliate Web site IrishSportsDaily.com reports.
He will make an official visit to South Bend for the Notre Dame-USC game on Oct. 17th weekend. The following week, he will take an unofficial to Alabama for the Tennessee game. He plans on visiting Auburn and taking an official to Stanford before ultimately deciding. He's in the process of talking with Oregon about taking official visit to Eugene, but isn't sure if that's going to happen.

Do you think Blake Sims has said a kind word or two to Tai-ler about U of A? Our offense being what it is has probably prompted a lot of kids to take a second look.
Hey surf, what about Kenbrell Thompkins?? Are we hitting Jones hard?? Just what receivers do you think we are hounding after the hardest? Thompkins size and 40 time look pretty good. And with Darryl Collins looking to be a lock for next years class and Marvin Shinn and Malone already commited. Carswell, Norwood, Kelly, Bowman, Julio, Maze, Bell, and Hanks already on campus. And what about this AL prospect....Scout.com: Darien Thomas Profile?
He has the offers for sure. Do we really have room for another 4 yr scholly WR?

Obviously that is the case. Apparently Blake Sims who is his teammate has told Jones good things about Alabama and the success of the offense has to be causing some recruits to take a second look.
Blake Sims and Tai-ler Jones were supposed to visit Bama for the Arkansas game but they did not make it. However it looks like they both will be visiting together for the Tennessee game. The word is that Jones is really interested in checking out Bama.

Bama is pursuing Kenbrell Thompkins as a WR prospect but I do not know the WR pecking order. I would have to think he is a top WR prospect.
Apparently Bama is also still pursuing Tai-ler Jones or it could be that he may just want to take a closer look at Bama. He had a Bama offer before he committed to Stanford. I would think if Tai-ler Jones wants to make a change and commit to Bama that he would still have a committable offer even though this class does not have much room left.
The way Bama is signing WRs it looks like they will be a strong part of the offense in the future.

DeAndrew White is another big name WR that may be on the list (hard to say, quite recruitment). Seems like we have a lot of top flight WR targets, but not so much room.
Yeah I saw we were in D White's final group. Either White or Jones with K Allen would be two nice additions.
I know Keenan Allen has said Alabama is recruiting him as a WR, but I can't help but wonder how dominating he could be at safety.

Hmm, funny, with this and the Ahmad Dixon thread, I sometimes forget that we will continually have guys come in on officials, that we don't necessarily think we have a chance with. Honestly, I'm not holding my breath on guys like these, but I had forgotten about them somewhat since they had been committed to other schools. So what you're sayin' is, there's a chance? We've received surprise interest and commitments before...

Yes, that is the latest from Allen that Bama is recruiting him as a WR. I am still listing him as an ATH in the prospect list even though both Rivals and Scout are still listing Allen as a Safety. In my opinion he would be equally great at WR or S, He is undoubtedly the top uncommitted priority for the ATH/WR for Bama.

I am not holding my breath either but I wouldn't say we don't have a chance, or good shot with any of the prospects visiting Bama. Bama's offense and defense so far this year have been very impressive and some of the top prospects are certainly taking notice. I am fairly certain that CNS and the Bama staff could land any of them that they want if they can find room for them. Down the stretch it looks Bama may be in a good position to scoop up some of the cream of the current blue-chip crop.

It's starting to become clearer that as the season progresses, we will get the attention of more top talent. I would have never thought Jones would be giving us a second look. I don't remember him giving us the first one. At any rate, we could get that #1 recruiting class again this year. I'm starting to think it's possible. It must be Gameday cuz I'm gettin all warm and fuzzy inside!!!!!!
