Re: Jamal Woodyard

Jamal Woodyard is on the Bama prospect and he is a very talented RB but it does not appear he will get a Bama offer. Right now there are several other RBs that Bama is pursuing that have a Bama offer which rank higher on their priority list. I think Bama could finish this class with the two RBs Jalston Fowler and Corey Grant they have currently committed. Since Grant is being offered as a RB/Slot WR if the numbers allow they may take another RB if one of their priority prospects wants to commit.

Re: Jamal Woodyard

Jamal is being talked about all the time on the local sports station in Mobile. 105.5 . Scott Hunter says he thinks he can and will play for a sec team. He's small only in height. and with 4.4 speed he will get a chance to play for a top school. He plays against some of the top schools in Mobile an plays at a high level. Not saying bama will recruit him but he will get a chance to go to a good school.

Re: Jamal Woodyard

I was coming back from Pensacola and stopped through to see what was the next thing coming from the school that gave us Julio and Fluker and saw him play against Foley. I walked away very impressed. The only thing I can think of as to why he is not being recruited hard is because last year, looking at his stats, he was primarily a receiving back. He has that it factor power speed and quickness. If he does not sign with Alabama hope he goes out of the SEC.

Re: Jamal Woodyard

I wonder if there are academic issues. ESPN has him as a 150 watchlist guy, but no one is after him. Sounds like either attitude or academic issues, but just guessing.

Re: Jamal Woodyard

Jamal Woodyard looks to be a very talented ATH/RB. Alabama already has a firm commitment from ATH/RB Corey Grant. It does not look like Bama will have room for him in this class.

No that RB Derrick Thomas is not related to Bama's LB Derrick Thomas.

Re: Jamal Woodyard

Jamal broke his lower right leg last night and will be out at least 6 weeks. Jamal was also suspended for last weeks game for a fight with the O.C.

DT's son, Derrion, is on a swimming scholarship at Missouri I believe. He had talked about walking on at Alabama, but decided against it. This Thomas, as others have said, isn't related to DT.
