Recruiting from here on out

Share

A few questions for the experts regarding this article on other info:

CrimsonConfidential.com - Will's Recruiting Odds and Ends

What is up with CJ Mosley? I know he was suppose to be at LSU last weekend and not sure where he is going this week. Atleast UT is on a bye this week. A liitle worried here unless we get J Hicks and/or C Jones.

Ed Christian how serious are we after him? I know we need OL for the class but where does he rank with D Robinson, Arie K, or James Stone.

Who is the the recruit looking to maybe leave the Barn and is considering us? S Coleman, L Owen, or someone else? Coleman has been mentioned before as a possible decommitment.

With D White onboard what are our chances with other WRs like T Jones(Stanford commit), V Sanders, or Kenny Shaw? Or do we just take K Allen and call done for this season.

How many more DBs do we take? The top three I think we are still after or in it for are J Fulton, M Harris(JUCO), and A Dixon(Baylor commit).

In regards to the DL are we still looking? I have read that D Jones(UT commit) is highly interested in us and not sure if G King still is.

Will we take another RB in this class? I really like our chances with S Johnson and he would be a nice addition to our RB stable.

I guess alot depends on who commits first or do we wait now since so many are starting to look this way and save the last spots ffor the best players out there uncommited or commited.

Re: Recruiting from here on out

Very uneducated guess but I'll take a shot:

1. CJ Moseley is taking his visits but it will come down to us and the Barn and on signing day he will sign with us.

2. I don't know if Christian is way up on our board, but I think we want to keep options open if things don't go our way with the guys higher on our board. I think our rankings for O Lineman go: 1. Arie O 2. James Stone 3. D Robinson 4. Shon Coleman 5. Christian and others. I think we sign 2 (Arie and Stone)

3. Coleman is the one whispering about leaving the Barn

4.With White coming on board Keenan Allen is the the last WR we take

5. I think we are done at DB unless Fulton commits to us

6. D Jones is still committed to another team so if he wants to jump ship he better do it quick. Gabe King in all likelihood is staying on the west coast with Oregon (my guess) but a lot of whispers that he is still very interested in Bama

7. We are done at RB.

All in all we have room for about 5 to 6 more. I see us still recruiting:
O Lineman--Arie O, James Stone, Damien Robinson
WR--Keenan Allen
RB--Done
TE--Done
QB--Done
DL--Gabe King, D Jones
LB--CJ Moseley, Jeff Luc, Jordan Hicks
CB--John Fulton
Athlete--done

We'll get Moseley. In fact we may already have him.

AK and JS are the top two on our board. Christian is likely after them and Shon Coleman and possibly Robinson as well.

Watch out for Shon Coleman. His stock has really risen in our staff's eyes and will end up a better prospect than Damien Robinson.

Most likely we will take Allen and be done. But if a big time prospect like Tai-ler Jones wanted to come to Bama we would find room.

We definitely will take one more corner. We will also take Ahmad Dixon if he wants to come here. Also you have to remember in this category that Allen and Vincent Sanders are very fine DB's as well.

Jones is interested so is Gabe King as well as William Gholston, Mich. St commit. Brandon Lewis may also still re-sign. We will see in the next few weeks how much interest there is here.

I also like Johnson. But I am not sure another RB is a big priority for us. But if we can find room I would love to have him. But right now I believe we stick with Fowler and Grant.

Good post. Your predictions look like they are pretty educated to me. I agree with almost all of your post including Arie being # 1 on the OL board. I think after Arie the OL order of priority is still a work in progress which could be debated, but you guess is a good one.

Re: Recruiting from here on out

JMHO, but I think Storm comes to BAMA only if we have room after we take every1 else. RB is not a priority in this class and though I like Storm's #'s and size, I think we fill the cupboard elsewhere before we officially offer to Storm. I think it is pretty obvious Storm's favorite is us. So I say if we take Storm he will be the very last one taken in this class.

Re: Recruiting from here on out

I think Stone would be a longshot. He sees playing time at Ucheat. I see us getting D Robinson for OT and hopefully Arie. I would love to see J Fulton commit, but I think we lost him. I think CJ, and KA are locks. I would like to see another big DL to replace Cody.

We have Chapman(the strongest player on the team) and Kerry Murphy behind Cody. Both are very capable NT's.

Stone is more likely. We like him more than Robinson and at this time he likes us more than UT. He is very mature and academics are very important to him. That's why he is so high on Vandy. UT's "Wild Boyz" haven't made a very good impression on him and his family so far.

Not to mention the "fence" that Thompson and Kitten have put up is made from the same material as the U.S./Mexican border fence.
