Crimson Tide continues to pull top recruits

ANDREW BONE: Crimson Tide continues to pull top recruits | TideSports.com | The Tuscaloosa News | Tuscaloosa, AL
Quote:
The Tide’s five-star quarterback commitment set a new state record in Virginia, and a new commitment from a four-star wide receiver brought good news this week as well. Alabama is also a strong contender for Scout.com’s newest five-star prospect.

Phillip Sims, from Oscar F. Smith High School in Chesapeake, Va., celebrated his high school homecoming last Friday night. He hit 10 of 14 passes for 253 yards and four touchdowns. The performance added to his grand total state record of 9,179 career passing yards. His record as the starting quarterback is 41-3, with his first start coming as a freshman in the fourth game of the year.
