I heard that Mark Richt gave Sims' parents a personal call today. Is this just a desperate attempt to hang on to an in-state gem by Richt or does Sims have legitimate interest in the Bulldogs? I hope his commitment to the Tide is firm, but the flagship in-state school usually has strong appeal to recruits. Thoughts anybody???
By the way, I recently spoke with someone who attended one of Sims' games this season. He stated that Sims appeared to be a bit of a loner. When he finished a series, he would come to the sideline and go sit by himself off away from the team. He didn't appear to interact with the other players much and didn't seem to be particularly emotional about the game. I know that it's hard to read too much in to one man's observation of one game. However, it does make me wonder about his willingness to be a "team player" and to motivate and lead others. Who knows, maybe he had the swine flu at the time and was being responsible by avoiding his teammates.

are you serious with this comment????
perhaps Sims just wants to concentrate on the game at hand??
I didn't know "The Process" included taking shots at a players leadership by using secondhand comments from someone you know and posting them on a message board.

Ease up a little guys....I know we have standards here for a reason but the guy has been a member since Jan 08 and has posted 16 times, the cannibalism in here lately has been running rampant. Maybe you "the Process" should re-familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations of tidefans a bit via the FAQ in the bar up above. Now to your question...I doubt he is wavering very seriously, it is apparent even to the GA faithful that there are serious internal problems between the hedges. What I do think is happening is GA is figuring out that they are striking out with some of their slot WR prospects. This is causing them to slide down their board a little and try to put contingency plans in the works. They got behind the 8-ball with some of the slot guys they passed on earlier b/c they had other players higher on their board. Sims was one of these guys, Tai-ler Jones is another they never really showed interest in but they got Rogers so that doesn't really matter. They have a couple of good WR's in this yr's class but a speedy slot guy was one of their big needs in the class to compliment the taller guys. I don't see Sims going to Richt after they showed limited interest early on and with GA's apparent problems...they aren't having a very good season to boot. So until you see a credible site saying that he is wavering....it is classified as a rumor (not post material on tidefans). As far as what your friend saw....well all I have to say about that is you don't see very many senior QB's at the high school level who aren't leaders of the football team. Whether it is true or not it may be what he does, a lot of QB's at every level, are off by their self a lot some guys focus better in games by being alone in their head figuring out what the defense is doing and are productive in doing so. I played defense and I was alone a lot replaying video in my head of the other team. I could focus on the formations and get better jumps on the offense. It doesn't mean he is or isn't a team player or have any bearing on his character....it could just be the process for him.

I think there was another thread about this a month or so ago, and I think the concensus was that he is solid.
I also agree that everyone needs to calm down just a bit(leave "the process" alone). Just because we're all Bama fans doesn't mean we can't question anything concerning UA.

I think a lot of people on here don't realize that what we say on public message boards can have a huge impact. A LOT of people, from AD's, to ESPN, to radio personalities, to recruits and their families all read what we say on here. We have to be careful.
If you've read any of my posts before you know I'm about as far from a homer as they come. I try to be as much of a realist as possible while still being as supportive as I can of my team.
How can you equate: "Just because we're all Bama fans doesn't mean we can't question anything concerning UA," to being able to make disparaging remarks about a recruit and questioning his leadership and his ability to be a team player? Those two are far from being one and the same, and if you can't see that I don't know what else to tell you. For all I know, what "The Process" said could be the truth, but until we know more, let's try and keep these remarks to ourselves.
If he had some publicized off the field issues this would be a different discussion entirely. But to publicly question someones character because of a secondhand account from someone watching the games in the stands is a bit much for me to stomach. Sorry if you don't feel the same way.

I agree many times you here why a young man decided to go to a school and you will find fan support right up there near the top. All it takes is for some rival to come to our board and find some random post twist it and say this is what the fans at Bama think of you.
