Where Coaches are Going This Weekend

Share

With an off week I know the coaches will be out on the recruiting trail this weekend. Any idea of where they may be going especially Coach Saban?

Coach Saban will be in Mobile this week for a speaking engagement. He may very well do some recruiting while there.

Some of the coaches should be in Florida trying to establish a stronger recruiting base. They got some pretty good players down here...

Florida is certainly a priority, especially the Panhandle and I-10 Corridor for Alabama. Coach McElwain, as far as I know, is in charge of northern Florida, and has pretty good success there (Trent Richardson). Coach Bobby Williams is over south Florida, specifically the Miami area. He's was helpful in getting Ed Stinson to Tuscaloosa, and has been after the St. Thomas Aquinas kids, as well as Delvin Jones in the 2010 class. Having said that, Alabama has had great success in Georgia, Texas, and some of the Atlantic states this year. Some of those kids fit better with what Alabama needed in this class. I don't think Alabama's staff is going to key on one area or another, just cause. Coach Saban will go where the players are. Of course that's not without remembering the kids here in Alabama.

Re: Where Coaches are Going This Weekend

Hopefully we'll see a commitment or 2 from this week. I really would like to see Keenan Allen verbally commit. I think our priority now is on the OL and DL.
