	Southlake Carroll senior Cade Foster placed his name in the record books over the weekend as one of the greatest kickers in Texas high school football history. The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder kicked seven extra points during a 70-21 rout of Flower Mound. That gave him a state career-record 234 extra points (out of 243 tries). The previous record was 227. His total also places him No. 5 in national history. The record is 350.

Tiffin has only kicked 118 in his career at BAMA for a little perspective, I know it is different in CFB but still....

I think he'll be able to put a lot of kickoffs into the endzone. And, on those he doesn't, Cade will run down and blow up the returner himself.

This is huge when you consider the size of the state and the importance of football there.

I'm not trying to be a jerk on this one, and I'm certainly not trying to denigrate the accomplishments of this young man, but...

All this really shows us is that (1) Cade Foster can consistently hit extra points, and (2) Cade Foster plays on a team that scores a lot of touchdowns. That second point is nice, but it's irrelevant for us, and as for him being able to consistently hit extra points, well, I hope he can, or otherwise we've made a big mistake.

Cade sounds like a perfect fit for the new, improved, everyone looks like a power lifter including the kicker, Crimson Tide.

for me the big number was 234 out of 234 I don't care if you are kicking with no one in front of you that is impressive. Even the pros miss some time.

...and the fact that he is built like a linebacker, not a soccer player. Having a physical and strong kicker that can and will try to make tackles is a big plus.

Kiffen saved us a few times by diving at the returner's feet. I held breath each time hoping he didn't get hurt. Mainly becuase (last year) Christensen (think that's how u spell it) gave me heartburn when his kicks left the ground you didn't know if they were gonna wobble left, right or short.

Foster is like a video game built kicker. I've NEVER seen anything like it. IF, he is as accurate as Kiffen and a little more powerful, he will be the BEST kicker we ever had at BAMA. Kiffen wasn't raved about coming out of high school like Foster. I am not sure Kiffen has ANY state or high school records either.

Completion percentage for a kicker is just as important as a passing qb's. If not more!

BTW, the number was 234 out of 243!
