RV/TAILGATING at other BAMA sporting events?

Share

How many here rv and/or tailgate at other BAMA sporting events? I know I have seen some rv's around at the basketball games I have attended & I am thinking about coming up in the rv this year for some of the Baseball weekend series...I am a baseball person at heart (I played in college & a little pro ball) & absolutely love the atmosphere surrounding late-season baseball games - Spring afternoons/nights, grilling, baseballs flying &, of course, the lovely ladies in Tuscaloosa who are showing off their new "summer" clothes .

I have never rv'ed for anything other than football games, but I am going to try & make a few weekends this baseball season & would like to hear from those who do the same or have any advice...

Great idea, we have been talking about the same thing with our friends from the Coleman lot.
Lets all pick an early Baseball game, maybe a good SEC matchup and show up with a bunch of RV's. I think the team would really love the show of support and it would be fun to see everybody again.

How about it?
Doug&Cathy, Dean&Donna, Todd&Cindy, Aden&Bea, ya'll up for it?

Not according to UAGAMEDAY.com.......

RV Parking is NOT allowed in the Moody Music parking lot or any other non designated area within the UA Campus.
Not sure why Coleman is not available, but I am going to call & get their reasoning & try to get a more definitive answer.....I will update if I hear anything different.
FWIW, I have parked in Lot 9 for football for 2 years now & I like it. It's not a bad walk to Coleman from there, but wouldn't it be nice to rv out behind the outfield wall!?!?!?!?!?!? The one thing I don't understand is that lot only holds about 20-25 rv's......Is that all they expect for any given basketball (nevermind on that theory ) or baseball weekend??

Re: RV/TAILGATING at other BAMA sporting events?

Lot 9 is the only lot for basketball, baseball, and gymnastics events. This is the lot we had for football and enjoyed it. I was planning on the Vanderbilt baseball series March 21-23 then I realized that is during spring break. Since I have two at the university no use in going when they will be home. Also that is Easter weekend so that puts a damper on that weekend for tailgating. Let me know another weekend and I'll be there......

Ugh.....I didn't realize that was Easter weekend. I might have to be there that week for business anyway, so I still might do it, but I might have to shuffle the schedule a bit. Anyway, I see your point about not going up when the kids will be coming home......Auburn might be a good weekend to look at also.
