RV tailgating in Knoxville and Baton Rouge

Share

This is my first year doing the rv tailgating and I only have an opportunity to go to a few games, so I want to make the most of it. I need some guidance on where the Bama fans go and when the best day to arrive in the respective areas are. Thanks.

I have heard that Baton Rouge is a crazy place to go sometimes. What is everyone's take on this game?

Re: RV tailgating in Knoxville and Baton Rouge

I haven't missed a Bama/UT game in 20 years, so I would suggest Knoxville as a great trip if you can make it. The Civic Center is an easy place to park an RV since they have several parking decks to accommodate everyone and shuttle buses to take you directly to the stadium. We didn't have any trouble finding a space in 06 and got there around 6:00 on Friday. (Plus, it's all Bama fans.)

We're definitely making that trip again. I believe this is the number for info - (865) 544-5399.

We've been to Baton Rouge plenty of times, but not with the RV. If you've never been, then make sure you make that trip soon.

Re: RV tailgating in Knoxville and Baton Rouge

Thank you for the info on the Civic Center. I will definitely see what I can do. I believe that is going to be a great game.

I went to Baton Rouge two years ago and but didn't take my RV. I didn't find many Bama fans on campus that year either. I really want to make this years game at LSU.
