Question about taking my Dish Network satellite to games...

Share

1. Is this legal?

2. How would I set it up to receive the channels from an "off site"?

3. Where on EARTH do you find those dish stands that I see people using?

I'd appreciate all the help. I'm gonna try to take it to the LSU game this year!

1. Yes

2. You just need an active box to use and you can pick up the chanels

3. You can get a stand at radio shack I think

Re: Question about taking my Dish Network satellite to games...

It's perfectly legal. All you really need to do is change the zip code and/or city to Tuscaloosa in the menu to get the proper dish coordinates. You can get the tripods at radio shack, camping world and some wal-mart stores carry them, but if you do not need it immediately I would suggest going on ebay. The taller tripods are very reasonable there and many will include 25' or more of extra cable and sometimes a signal locator. However, once you get used to pointing the dish you won't use the external meter very often.

If tailgating on the quad be careful of the trees. They can turn a simple procedure into a nightmare...
