Showering or Dumping?

Share

Hey all... will be bringing an RV to Tuscaloosa for the first time this year and just wanted to ask a few basics that i'm sure all of you have known for years.

Which couple of lots are the best for people in thier late 20's / early 30's to park and party in?

What does the RV crowd do for showers / water hookups?

And related to that... what do people do for sewage dumping? I know the sewage tank fills up in less than 2 days.

Is there a public facility right near any of these RV lots that tailgaters have access to use for showers and bathrooms?

THanks a lot in advance!

Big A Re: Showering or Dumping?

Visit the GameDay link above for info on RV parking (its all sold out.)
The only spot you can park is behind the Brunos on Mcfarland Blvd, It is a shuttle ride to the campus.
Your best bet on dump stations are the Alabama State Rest Stops, there is one 3 exits toward B'ham.
As for a shower..........try not to sweat, and maybe hit the truckstop in Cottondale.
Good Luck!

Re: Showering or Dumping?

Might need to look into one of these...LINK
You will have to empty the rv sewage waste tank into this once it fills up, then take it to a dump site somewhere(after you leave the campsite or hook it to your truck and drive it to dump location), but you can continue to use the rv restroom this way.

Re: Showering or Dumping?

The TA (Truck Stops of America) at Exit 77 has a dumping station and may be the closest. You can't just drive up and park anywhere so the Bruno's lot as someone mentioned will probably be your best bet. Don't know what kind of RV you're bringing but if it doesn't have a shower there aren't any available so trying out the state parks might be your best bet.

There are no water hook ups anywhere on campus or at any of the locations. Don't know much about partying but the RVs seem pretty quiet.

Or I just saw this on another post:
RV Parking near stadium
