  1. Link: Re: How the 'Pop Pass' has Changed Alabama's Defense Since Dominant 2011 Season

Haha...when I saw "pop pass" it made me think of the play we ran in Jr. High football that was literally a 3-5 yard pass from the qb to tight end in the gap between the inside and outside...
  2. Re: Fall Practice Updates (Practice reports, Interviews, and Scrimmage Notes)

I'd add that he's the most like Blake Sims in terms of wheels that we've got so they may plan on him running a package of plays that allows him to get outside the pocket and throw on the run or tuck...
  3. Re: Fall Practice Updates (Practice reports, Interviews, and Scrimmage Notes)

What I gathered too. You don't tell a guy who's #3 that he's not going to redshirt if your true intentions are to let him get a few snaps in mop up duty.

It seems to suggests he's not #3, but more...
  4. Re: Fall Practice Updates (Practice reports, Interviews, and Scrimmage Notes)

The twitterbuz last night was that apparently Blake Barnett WILL NOT redshirt this year.

That can only mean the coaches plan to play him some...how much...well have to wait and see.

Re: Neutral Site vs Home and Home

I think CNS values the exposure and recruiting benefit over the pageantry and on campus atmosphere.

Hard to argue with him on it, but I understand your perspective too.

    Problem for us is by...
  7. Link: Re: AJ McCarron and Jameis Winston to square off tonight on ESPN

Where in this post did anyone say AJ should be the starter???

Why is AJ such a controversial figure to so many that even a "hey AJ looked good" has to be censured with "but he's not ready to...
  8. Link: Re: AJ McCarron and Jameis Winston to square off tonight on ESPN

In my very unprofessional critique I'd say AJ showed pretty good presense all around considering it was his first live action in two years.

The two longer throws timing were off and in both cases...
  9. Link: Re: AJ McCarron and Jameis Winston to square off tonight on ESPN

I'm aware AJ isn't going to start.

Just really saying the Dalton stunk it up in his time with the starters and I don't think AJ would have done any worse and maybe better.
  10. Link: Re: AJ McCarron and Jameis Winston to square off tonight on ESPN

I almost typed "as much as Dalton" but AJ couldn't done worse IMO.
  11. Link: Re: AJ McCarron and Jameis Winston to square off tonight on ESPN

AJ would have done more with that offense than Dalton if he had started the game.

Re: What's happened to David Cornwell this summer?

By all accounts, that was my impression too.

Re: What's happened to David Cornwell this summer?

I doubt this thread will do Cornwell much good. I'm sure there are very few who may know and if they do they probably shouldn't be saying.

All else will be rampant speculation.
  14. Link: Re: SEC 2015: Alabama Is What You Want to See

Good article...I like CNS's opportunity to win a title after 9+ years...Put it this way...I would NOT bet against him.

Trenda, kinda sad way of considering it, but you are probably right about the...

Re: QB battle at Scrimmage #2...

I think no matter who our starting qb ends up being this year we'll probably see more INTs this year than we have in the last few.

However, I don't see how our starter would be given a leash long...
