    Re: NFL Prospect Jalston Fowler

From watching several seasons of Hard Knocks, it seems preferable to be an undrafted free agent rather than a late round pick. Free agents can pick the team where they'd fit in best.

    You'd think...
  2. Re: Is there a message being sent to the Big 12?

I enhanced my original post to better explain what I was getting at.

To elaborate, opponents' winning percentage can only be useful if it also takes into the strength of schedule of their...
  3. Re: Is there a message being sent to the Big 12?

This stat can be incredibly misleading. Playing highly ranked teams is far different than playing a fringe top 25 teams. It also doesn't take into account that beating a currently ranked team may...
  4. Re: Is there a message being sent to the Big 12?

No, it's only because it's TCU and Baylor. Either Texas or Oklahoma would be in the top 4 if they were in the same position as TCU/Baylor.

Re: Week 4 CFP poll released

The B1G conference championship game. It seems very likely that the committee will give conference championships very heavy weight.

If they win the SEC championship game, I'd expect the committee...

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

An NFL defensive coordinator job would be much better career move for Muschamp than trying to claw back up the college coaching ranks.

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

It's more of an indication of how bad the ACC currently is.

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

He'd have to narrow his focus to only the SEC West

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

Yeah, Mack Brown has aged 30 years since the 2009 season - hard to believe that NFL.com could be that out of touch.

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

If he hasn't lost it from being off so long and can still recruit like he could at Miami, Butch Davis could make UF into a powerhouse again.

The 2001 Miami team (mostly assembled by Davis) had 17...

Re: Game ball goes to Cyrus Jones!

The is a great point. When a DB is not looking for the ball, the officials almost instinctively call pass interference. There has been a lot of improvement in that area.

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

Do you think that Jim Tressel could be a candidate? I know that he has said that he doesn't ever want to coach again and likes being a college counselor, but I wonder if he would still like to chance...

    Re: Quiet Heisman year

Those stats don't really tell the whole story. Ismail was much more than just a receiver.

Notre Dame also had Jerome Bettis, Ricky Watters, Dorsey Levens and Tony Brooks at running back so they...

    Re: Muschamp ... "resigns"

That's only because Johnson and Miles were recognized to be elite coaches and were lured away to better programs. No top tier programs have made any serious runs at Gundy and for good reason.
