Re: Vanderbilt got a new uniform

All I can think of when I see this pic is the "Flashdance" video...all he needs is water to drop on him and it'll be complete. What a feeling!
  2. Re: Excuse or Concern? Saban's Comments About NFL Draft

Phil Savage alluded to it today with regard in particular to Reggie Ragland, how it may have been somewhat of a distraction prior to the Ohio St game. I think its a real issue too, and even though...

Re: Doug Layton has passed away

I can't agree more...Simpson Pepper's style was that there was no style, just pure professionalism, it was and still is an all-time classic.

Re: Doug Layton has passed away

    Ditto.
Great book. John & Doug will forever live in my "football memory".
  5. Re: Colin Cowherd Tried to Interview Jim Harbaugh Today; It Didn't Go Very Well

One thing that I kept thinking...he's still in the NFL coach interview mode. He did interviews as a matter of obligation and duty, one that he probably didn't like, as most coaches don't I suspect....

  7. Re: Alabama Football: Who Can Be the Leader Nick Saban Needs in 2015?

That was my first thought...I hope that Derrick Henry can assume that kind of leadership posture too
  8. Re: Steve Shaw Tells JOX's The Roundtable Matt Moore and Penn Wagers Retired

For some reason I was thinking that Rogers Redding was the one who threw that flag...but alas, the years may have confused me on that one...

Link: Re: The sad, sad Keith McCants story...

I was thinking it was Trey Gainous (sp?) but I'm not certain. But what I am certain of is how sad to have that memory of that incredible play in mind as I watched the video and Keith faltering as he...

Not a problem at all...shoot me an email and I'll give you the details...although there is a spoiler to the avatar, I found the pic at getty images, but, the watermark was still there so I used...

"Landon and I had already charted out a three-and-out plan.
At LSU, I was convinced he could play immediately, wind up a Freshman All-American and build the momentum to be a first-rounder after his...

Re: Favorite players from your childhood

Nobody could paint such a verbal picture as John Forney...He and Doug Layton will always be the masters, growing up listening to them was something that I still relish...Eli & Phil are absolutely top...

    Favorite players from your childhood

I know that we all have our favorite players that have played at the Capstone, some current, and some in our formative years...I thought it would be cool to see 2 or 3 of our favorites from your...
  15. Re: Let's Enjoy It, TideFans! A Plea for a more Positive Attitude!

I recall Gameplan magazine...and the formulas...they were pretty thorough in their predictions, not as many photos as Street & Smith, and not the color photos as Athlon, or later Lindy's, but I...
