Re: Time for "SEC West" chants yet?

I would argue with you...if it weren't true. SECW is miles ahead of SECE right now.

Re: What we learned from each game this weekend

I learned that USC is just a middle-of-the-packs SECE team...but evidently so is everyone else in the SECE. SECE champ likely has 2 or more Conf losses.

Re: Coaches on the hot seat

Will be interesting to see where the current ECU coach lands, assuming they keep winning. Gotta think some bigger D1 programs will come calling if he matches last season's 10 wins.
  4. Link: Re: Regarding the term for teams that snatch defeat Fein the jaws of victory

What has made this that muc h more enjoyable in Columbia is that previously everything bad that happened to USC was attributed to the mythical Chicken Curse, which was just a made up explanation as...

Re: Lane Kiffin as O-Coordinator - your opinion

Iíve had to come to grips with Kiffen, and have just decided to evaluate him starting from the day he was hired by Bama Ė throw out everything prior. Using that method, itís hard to argue with his...
  6. Re: This Is What Sets Me Off About The Whole "Strength of Schedule" Argument.....

To me Bama has the right idea with its scheduling, just need to tweak the philosophy a little.

Currently we seem to go the route of one major D1 OOC opponent, one mid-level D1 OOC opponent, and...

Link: Re: SDS' rating of SEC QBs for Week Four...

What stuck out to me with Sims was his seemingly quick release. Has he always had this or is it something he developed in offseason?
  8. JessN: Re: Florida wrap-up: Tideís growth, gameplan reason for success

Good analysis. Getting Jarran Reed to play like that the rest of the year may be the biggest key to Bama running the table.

    Re: Amari Cooper's Interference Penalty

I also thought the ball had to be in the air for offensive PI, but not according to NCAA rule book.

Contact initiated by the WR beyond the neutral zone on a forward pass play is PI,...

Re: Lane Kiffen as O-Coordinator - your opinion

I'm not a Kiffen fan, but there is no denying the offense looked good Saturday, and play calling was definitely spot-on.
  11. Re: UF's continuing efforts at stripping the ball...

UF was tackling to strip, and it paid dividends early but also resulted in yds after contact as game wore on... At least that's how it looked from TV.
  12. Link: Re: Spurrier takes shots at his own team. Brutally honest.

USC stunk it up and Spurrier admitted it. That's his style. There probably aren't a dozen major D1 teams USC beats the way they played yesterday...fortunately for them Vandy was one of them.

Game Thread Re: ****Bama vs. UF Game Thread - 2nd Half****

The score certainly is not indicative of how well Bama D played.

Game Thread Re: ****Bama vs. UF Game Thread - 2nd Half****

See, blitz gave up PI penalty, sitting back yielded pick. Driskel simply cannot sit in pocket and beat a good defense.

Game Thread Re: ****Bama vs. UF Game Thread - 2nd Half****

Blitz a guy here or there, just don't give him man coverage, it's the only way he gets it done.
