    A sad day indeed.

    RIP...

Re: NCAA Approves 3 New Bowl Games

Good grief. What's next, the Three Guys From Gaithersburg Bowl? I guess I'm just a crotchety old man.

Re: Favorite players from your childhood

I don't remember Bart at Bama, but I was a Packer fanatic when I was a kid and he was the reason I became interested in Bama football.

As far as favorite Bama player that I actually remember...
  4. Re: 32 years ago today...1/26/83 Coach Bryant passed away

I remember that day very well. I was working at my first "real" job after law school and saw the story on the evening news. It hit me like a ton of bricks.

A personal note: My dad and CPB were...

Re: The Future of College Football

Can you say "Cape Cod Clam Chowder Bowl??"

Re: Still in contention - What's the big deal?

I've also had some scary flashbacks during the last 2 games, only to the CMS era. Remember how the offense tanked in 05 after Pro got hurt? That team had to recover a fumble inside the 10 to...

Re: Being an alumni of the college="real fan"?

[Heck how many people are Packer fans that don't live in Green Bay Wisconsin? Roll Tide!]

This really hit home for me. I grew up in the Boston area in the 60s and early 70s and like most...
  12. Re: "Hee Haw" - the TV show - that was a great show....

OK,I'll take a crack at this. I grew up in the Boston area in the 60s, and was probably the only kid in my HS who liked country music, for which I took a good deal of grief from my hard-rock loving...

    Re: Bart Starr suffers stroke

Bart was my favorite pro player when I was a kid and was the reason I became interested in Bama football. Hope this is a minor incident and that he will have a speedy and complete recovery.
