Re: Trent Richardson & Reporter Bias

I get it, I just believe a solid year behind that line will earn him enough to continue. I get that NFL teams are very impatient and RBs have probably the shortest time to prove themselves. I really...

Re: Trent Richardson & Reporter Bias

I can't stand fantasy analysis. I think he will be fine despite the line issues. He may not light up the stats, but he just needs a solid season. If he stays healthy, I think he will.

Link: Re: Bama #1 in New ESPN Poll

I remember a few years ago sitting at a Mississippi State game with another Bama fan being excited about a loss by some team that possibly would catapult Bama to a #1 spot in a poll for the first...

Re: What is Your Favorite Kind of Win?

I agree blowouts are not what is necessarily good for the team. I don't enjoy the ones where we were obviously playing an opponent that had no business being on the same field. Again I like...
  7. Link: Re: ISIS - I don't want to put the subject in the title...

I was just about to post something similar, and I agree completely.

However, IMO the only way you truly win is overwhelming force and a very long term plan afterwards that stays until it is done...

Didn't read it, but my first thought was, "You wish."
  10. Re: Evolving the Option: The Pop Pass and the Future of Football

We called it "oops". On any draw play the QB could pull the ball back (or stop if he was the draw runner) and "pop" pass. The back and QB were supposed to yell OOPS so the linemen would not continue...
  11. Re: Evolving the Option: The Pop Pass and the Future of Football

I guess that (or a pick call) could have been called with the ball in the air, but you are not going to get those very often when it is out of the immediate area.

Re: What is Your Favorite Kind of Win?

I'm with most of you. A dominating win over an opponent everyone thought was better or at least our equal gives me great satisfaction.
  13. Re: Evolving the Option: The Pop Pass and the Future of Football

I'm in your court here, but I am starting to think I am in a constantly shrinking minority.
  14. Re: Evolving the Option: The Pop Pass and the Future of Football

Me too, but the rule clearly says his entire body and nothing about the ball. We did not get the call on the play or after the replay.
  15. Re: Evolving the Option: The Pop Pass and the Future of Football

Not to be the bad guy here, but I just don't see that either. They even reviewed the play to make sure the throw was legal.
