I'm shocked that Oregon didn't fall further. I really expected them to be 16-17ish after being blown out by a non-ranked team plus one other loss.

Well...it appears that in order for Bama to win #16, they are going to have to defeat #'s 4, 5 & 2 to take home the Crystal Football. That is some gauntlet to have to traverse. Auburn has to beat #'s 1, 5 & 2. Mizzou has to beat A&M, 1 or 4, then #1.
FSU and OSU have it made, well, tOSU has it easier than FSU. But if justice is not served in Tallahassee, FSU has a cakewalk into the BCSCG.

In all honesty,... I would have the top 5 as follows,...
1. Alabama
2. Florida St.
3. Ohio St.
4. Oklahoma St.
5. auburn

OK St has a higher SOS than auburn,... OK St is ranked 10 and auburn something like 16. I was so hoping OK St would jump auburn,...

So in our next 3 games, we get to beat the 4, 5, and 2 teams by 3 TDs .

Go ahead & chalk us up as one of the best ever.

We're the Packers of the 60s, the Steelers of the 70s, the 49ers of the 80s. We come from their cloth. They're [AU, Mizzou, FSU] conquerors? No, we're conquerors. Our style is impetuous. Our defense is impregnable. And we're just ferocious.

I am perpetuously amazed at the magnitude of our own multitudinous splendorosity.
The magnitude of perspicuity in this on-line discourse vexes the antagonists that skulk here. :)

How confident are you about the Auburn game? Exactly how are we going to beat them by 3 td's. Their pass rush has me worried. Hope you are right. It will be one crazy stadium down there amongst the bovines.

I see you're a TideWatcher, but are you a football watcher? Specifically, have you watched Auburn play this year? On offense they are a one trick pony. They run the SAME 4 plays all game. They do it from different formations and with a lot of pre-snap stuff, but they run sweep left, sweep right, an inside trap, and an option pass. And of the 3 running plays, their fullback takes you directly to the play EVERY SINGLE time. It's a very simple offense. Before the UGA game, they had passed the ball a total of 35 times ALL SEASON. And maybe I'm missing something but without a threat to pass, I don't see them running on us much, if at all. They are perhaps the most overrated team in recent memory.

On defense, their secondary is as suspect as they come. Our corners are Mel Blount & Deion Sanders compared to theirs. They have a pass rush. Big woop. A balanced offensive attack negates that, and we are perhaps one of the most balanced attacks in recent memory.

If I weren't a Bama fan, I'd tell you the same thing. Auburn is playing over their heads right now. WAY over their heads. And we won't dominate them for the whole game. They may throw a few trick plays in early to break tendency an do get their crowd into it but once we make adjustments it'll be business as usual and we'll break their will.

Michigan State is a pretty good team. I know we remember that 49-7 detonation but they have improved some of their big deficiencies that we exposed. They're much better as a pass rushing defense which compliments their solid back seven. I think they're better than Stanford and South Carolina honestly. Their offense has gotten much better over the course of the season.
