This was told to me by a big time USM booster over lunch yesterday.
If this happens, Lee County will go into a meltdown to melt down all meltdowns.

would be a good job for him, no pressure which will let him rebuild his image.
This guy is connected and said he felt the interest was mutual. He also said the school wasn't worried about him using USM as a stepping stone back to a BCS AQ team, saying straight up: "We're C-USA and we're kinda used to that, anyway."Well, we can all have dreams.
Not gonna happen.
For the most part you are right though Ellis Johnson might disagree!I agree, he needs this. Auburn would have high expectations and run him out faster if he wasn't successful.
Haw!Just how strong is this rumor? Could somebody please post pictures of USM's volleyball team?
Awesome. The other nugget I got was seeing that Cignetti has his team in the playoffs. Hadn't kept up with him; but glad to see he's doing well.Haw!
Seriously, here's a screenshot from their coaching Hot Board:
Of course, the best thing you might learn from that is Bobby has a brother named Bobby.
"This is my brother Bobby, and this is my other brother Bobby."
:biggrin2:
"Gus kept saying, 'Shut up!'"I still believe Malzahn would be a good choice His wife being a nut case will have no bearing with Jacobs. She is a nutcase, but a Christian one.
I think it is a great job. They did win 12 games just last season. Obviously they are awful this season, sitting at 0-12. But it is a program with so much more promise. My guess is that not to many coaches has Southern Miss on their short list
The right coach could do well there.I think it is a great job. They did win 12 games just last season. Obviously they are awful this season, sitting at 0-12. But it is a program with so much more promise.
