I fried up some today - outstanding. I would like to use them for an appetizer at some friends house tomorrow, but need a good dipping sauce. Any ideas?
I would like to try that Memphis Dressing and you are right thousand island dressing is pretty good on fried green tomatoes. I like thousand island dressing as a dipping sauce for fried chicken tenders and as a marinade for lamb. My cucumber aoli is also very good on baked or grilled fish.1000 Island dressing is actually pretty good with them. One of the first restaurants I cooked in, we made a Memphis dressing with Feta Cheese that was AMAZING with Fried Greens....I'll try to find the recipe for you. I know it is a mayo based sauce and has a little cayenne and capers in it...but the feta cheese just set it off when paired with the tomatoes.
