Kamplain got 2 strikeouts in the first, then gave up a 2 run HR

Top 2 - Leadoff 1B and then BB in second, and a wild pitch. Got a K and a pop-out, error on Cole at third, his second huge error of the series, scores 2 and now it's 4-0 FAU.

That might be too much for our offense to overcome.

Left runners on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 4th. Rosecrans K, Booth weak popup and Carlisle ground out. Bad call on one of the pitches to Carlisle on a check swing, and the announcers said the umps have screwed us all weekend, so that's why we can't overcome a mid-pack mid-major team.
Case Nixon is pitching.

Shaw came in to pitch top 5th, gave up a leadoff single and then threw it away on a pickoff. It keeps getting better.

after Dugas rang up on a horrible pitch, Roberts HOMERS to right!

3-run shot, as Moore had ripped a single and Jimmy Tullidge walked

7th inning stretch, FAU up 6-4.

Hubbard looks good. Got shafted a couple of times last week.

Moore looks REALLY good in RF

Leadoff walk, but Kelton check swing out, Dugas rips it to right, but right to a guy, and Roberts called out on a pitch low and outside. That home plate umpire is killing us.

Going to the 8th 6-4 FAU. Inning can't start after 3:15 because of FAU travel plans.

putting in Zylstra to start the 8th proves costly. He gives up a hit, another hit and then a 3-run BOMB. no outs

Tough weekend we better start hitting the ball or it is going to be a long year. I know the error was costly Friday, giving them 4 unearned runs but we still got out hit. The last two days were just unreal. Hope we turn things arounds quickly. :frown:

Florida Atlantic sweeping the Crimson Tide in a three-game series to start the year isn’t totally unheard of. It’s just been a while.

It’s been 60 years since something like that has happened at Alabama. In 1952, the Tide started out 0-3, finishing the season two games above .500. (That last bit is what you’d call the “bright side” of things.)

But losing a three-game series at home to start the year? That has never occurred in Alabama history.
