You don't attack our Gods on here in public and not expect us to attack! If anyone reads in his statement that we(Bama), outbid AU for him, they are most profoundly misunderstanding or just stirring the pot! If you misunderstand something someone on here says there is a lot better ways to go about asking what they mean than calling out as he admittedly said he was doing!

OJ did well at a 7 on 7 tournament and a decent interview and write up on him at al.com. Sounds firm to us, but says the barn is still after him pretty hard.

Now, you've embarrassed me. :blush: I've just lived a long time and been around Bama athletics a long time and I'm lucky enough to know a lot of people who know more than I. After I saw how Mark saw my comment, he and I had an exchange and I told him I needed to be more careful in phrasing. Anyone who's read a lot of my posts knows exactly how I feel about AU's tactics, the tactics they used in the 80s and early 90's and are back into now. I won't pull punches about that. We don't do the things they do and I have to have faith that their tactics will eventually catch up with them. I'll leave you with this: They still have part of their stadium complex named after an NCAA-convicted cheater, who got them on probation. Not only have they never changed the name, they have given him back an office in the AD complex. Think about it...

Actually their two best coaches got them on probation....they named their stadium after one of them and their football field after the other. What a great tradition they have.

Watched him on ESPNU last night at the recent combine in Florida (Gridiron Kings or something like that). Damn. What a specimen! I`m dating myself, but the more I watched the more I kept thinking "Ozzie Newsome". I`m not sure we`ve had anything quite like Howard in many years, particularly physically. That includes Julio.

Earle, after our exchange I totally understand why you feel how you do and why you pull no punches about it. Like you, I hope they get their justice... The biggest thing I learned from this is I need to explain myself a little better or bite my tongue sometimes. No fun being called a barner...

I never actually called you a barner, but I did entertain the possibility you might be with your post. We all got to be careful around here though cause we got plenty of trolls who pop in, in the disguise of being a Bama fan! Of course once everyone gets to know you better its less likely you will be called that terrible word!

I watched him last night and thought of Newsome as well. I'd love to see him at receiver and not TE.

I'm sure he will play tight end but split out often. We split smelley and williams out and they are nowhere near the athlete that oj is.

He's most likely going to gain a good amount of weight and be too big for receiver. Wherever he lines up he is going to be a matchup nightmare.
