During Georgia’s spring break, cornerback Damian Swann received some words of wisdom from the man who coached him in football until he was 12 and in baseball until he was 17 — his father, Marlon Swann.
“We talked a lot about football and he just told me, ‘It’s my time,’ ” Swann said. “ ‘Stay focused, do what I’ve got to do, get in my playbook and the rest of it is going to come.’ ”
Swann already figured to have a more prominent role this season after the departure of Paul Hornung Award winner Brandon Boykin.
