The Kent State Golden Flashes finished the 2011 season with a 5-7 record and a 4-4 record in conference play. In 2011, the Golden Flashes' biggest win was by 32 points against the Akron Zips and their biggest loss was by 41 points against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Last season, the team was led by Spencer Keith (1,682 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns, 8 interceptions, 49 rushing yards, 3 rushing touchdowns), Trayion Durham (630 rushing yards, 4 touchdowns), and Jacquise Terry (463 yards from scrimmage, 4 touchdowns).
