Reminded me of Theismann or Nepoleon McCallum(I think) of the Raiders. Maybe even Marvin Constan. I can't imagine getting good news on this one.

With Lacy not being 100% it does matter. It appears Jalston will not be able to play this year, and that puts more pressure on Lacy's role. Alabama really isn't built to just utilize one RB, and while Yeldon has looked fantastic, it can't all fall on his shoulders. If Lacy can be 100% this year (and I think the jury is still out on that one), and both he and Yeldon stay healthy, then yes, I think you can shrug this off. But, that's kind of a long shot... As it is, this throws Hart into some situations he might not be well suited for.

As far as Jalston goes, his being gone takes away not just depth but a formation really. I was holding out how that it was something that gave him a chance or returning during the season, but that was always unlikely. Hopefully he fully recovers, I'm glad he should regain the eligibility, but the team sure could use him going forward...

Jalston's having surgery on his knee, out for the season, per CSN.

That's really the pits...I hope he keeps his head up. I feel like I did when DH went down against Arky a few years ago.

He's a true Junior, correct? So that would make it easier to possible get a waiver for a redshirt or medical? I know this topic comes up very year and I always forget the policy, just wish I could remember why I keep forgetting.

Poor kid, I hate that for him. Especially so early in the season.

Jalston's a nice guy, and a team player... Were going to miss him.
The team will miss his blocking, hard running and leadership too.
I enjoyed seeing him in the I-Formation... It was a play made for his abilities.

I've heard it's not a multiple ligament injury, just the PCL, but, TBF, ACL would have been better...

Kenyan Drake looked quick as all get out on his run, but I'm not sure he's ready as a ound it up the middle back.

Looks like Brent Calloway has a sterling opportunity.

Can he get this year back, and do you agree that his size and style should make a full recover likely?

Won't help this year, but 2013 RB Tyren Jones has over 600 yards in his first 2 games against tough competition. Can't imagine having him, Yeldon, Lacey, Hart Fowler and Drake in the same backfield. Although I believe it's going to be hard keeping Tyren if we sign another back.

Can't really say. I think the success rate on PCLs is only about 70%...
