Question: We know about our pass blocking concerns. But does LSU have pass protection issues?

I worry that they will pound and pound at about 4 yards per clip and we won't be able to stop it. That would make for a 4 quarter war.
We're better running the ball and stopping the run than they are...

Face it, if we show up and play @ 100% and they do the same, we win, probably by 10+. We're just the better team, it's that simple. More talented across the board, more disciplined, etc. It's our to lose.

We are only allowing 57 yards a game. And we kept the leading sec rusher to under 40 yards last week. So yeah, we will be fine on stopping the run.

I'd like to know when the sacks occurred. I know there were several against OM, but we've fixed that (I hope). IOW, I think we've been generally improving, although most of them are still coming on our right side...
also, we've had at least a couple that were from McCarron stepping out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage...
those arent exactly the O Lines fault.

Take away the issue with WKU, and our line hasnt been that bad at protection...
room to improve, but they havent exactly been horrible...

In response to holding the SEC's leader rusher to 40 yards, you have to keep in mind that the leading rusher, Perkins, is the guy for MSU. LSU goes four deep at the RB position....How do the stats from their four compare to Perkins?

True, as a team they have 300 more yards for the season than MSU's team. But that goes back to our stat of only 57 yards a game. I am not saying thy will hold them to that. But I am not thinking more than 75-90 yards.

ETA: LSU had only 39 rushing yards in the championship game. And 148 in our overtime loss, which was due to the option game.

LSU vs Bama rushing...

Code:
LSU (1667 net rushing yards, 20 TDs)

Blue,Alfred 40 270 2
Ware,Spencer 62 255 0
Shepard,Russell 8 106 1
Copeland,J.C. 13 54 3

Alabama (1750 net rushing yards, 20 TDs)
Player: carries: net yards: TDs:
Yeldon,T.J. 93 649 7
Lacy,Eddie 109 596 7
Drake,Kenyan 29 206 5
Sims,Blake 16 92 1
While they both were effective runners, Fowler and Hart combined for a total of 173 yards of net rushing with 0 TDs - since they're injured and not playing, I didn't include them in this list, though their net rushing is included in the team total.

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
For over 300 rushing attempts they sure don't have many rushing td's. Hence their struggles in the red zone.

Um... They weren't able to do that against Towson St. and AU. That's the last thing I'm worried about...
While I totally agree with you on this I bring myself back to reality by the fact that was over a month ago, and they're definitely not as bad as they were at that time.

Something isn't adding up with LSU's rushing TDs....
6+3+5+2+0+1+3 = 20, not 8
